Fairly typical locals bar with some interesting characters about. My son suggested that we go listen to a local jam band the Friday night of Labor Day weekend. Glad I went to hear the music in the outside stage. It would have been painful indoors. As it was, we really enjoyed the band and the people watching. Very good selection of bottled and draft beers.

Downstairs on street level is a unique 'hole in the wall' very friendly bar with outside seating to have a beer and meet local colorful people and college students. Upstairs is a porch area over looking Main Street and another bar with stage and dance area. Place needs some updating but when the beer is flowing, music is loud, and your standing shoulder to shoulder in the crowd it makes now difference.

Downstairs is where the locals hang out. It is a bar. Good place to grap a drink. Upstairs is live music thru out the year.

We'd been wondering around the town of Saranac Lake and decided to stop in for a drink. We loved the bartenders sense of humor. He the iconic bartender that would always have something clever to say while serving you a drink. The atmosphere is about as laid back and local as you would ever expect to find when wondering around this area. Step up to the bar and order a local brew, play some pool, just chill.... but be sure to read the graffiti in the bathroom as they were hilarious. One can always get a sense of a place by stepping up and reading the bumper stickers behind the bar. LOL LOVED THEM!Don't miss your opportunity to check out this awesome place while in town... a must see for those who like to feel they stepped into a bar where everyone knows their name.

Typical Bar for good ol' boozehound townies...wouldn't bring my GF to this place..occasional good bands, but not somewhere I'd bring anybody to impress 'em with the local "bar scene"

This is a nice place for pizza or casual Italian food. It's nothing spectacular, but we ended up here twice.

i don't frequent the place downstairs because it is dark and dingy and some of the clientele but the upstairs is great. went there for a retirement party it was clean, roomy a nice atmosphere.

This place was filthy when I was there. This is the type of place where a woman has to "hover" over the toilet to pee because sitting down may result in some sort of disease. Floor was dirty, people were dirty, even the beer bottles seemed grimy. Oh, not to mentioned the outrageous cover charge the night a "band" was there, if they could be called a band. Don't waste your time, or risk your health.

Great place in the Adirondacks to put some money in the juke...enjoy some Almman Brothers or Stones and drink some icy cold beers with friends on the porch.....shoot a little pool.

We have been going here every year for a decade and its gone downhill every year since. Busiest night of the year and they rent the top floor to a class reunion. The owner kicks out the highlight of the night the yearly visit from the Mistress. After 10 years and several thousand dollars spent by us next year our crew will party in Placid for CANAM.
