This was a well done distillery and store. Though not all of the products are produced there they are very tasty. We included this stop during our modified beverage trail. Definitely worth a visit.

This attraction seems to be relatively new to Cooperstown but, it has developed a "character" and a following befitting that of a much "older" institution in the village. This is a small distillery (classified as a "farm distillery") with a small volume production. But, the quality of its product far exceeds that of many other, much larger producers. Our "tour guide" was actually the owner and his expertise is evident. His knowledge of not only his products (whiskey, bourbon, vodka, gin) but, of the industry in general, was impressive without being condescending. He made the tour fun and informative to our small group. As for the products themselves, they are top quality. This is an adult attraction which you won't want to miss while you're in Cooperstown.

While the space is gorgeous...the samples of spirits we tried were not as good as other micro-distilleries we have gone to...what made this a poor experience though was the apathy of the staff to make us feel welcomed as customers...there were three people there and our impression was we were bothering them to even sample...I tried to engage the staff with question which were answered in a clipped manner without any followup...when I visit a new place I am always interested in their story...at the time of our visit they had a small table top humidor set up with cigars and when I asked about them I received a less than glowing response...The place may have matured since our visit and be more welcoming...but not on this day...I will give it a second chance and I will post that review after my trip...I seem to be in the minority as far as my review goes...so please decide for yourselves...

Cooperstown Distillery is truly excellent! We stopped in for a tasting and were blown away by the quality of their unique offerings. The vodka is smooth, and the Fenimore Gin was delicious. Instead of being overwhelmed by juniper, it presents a lovely floral profile that begs to be featured in all manner of cocktails. The true stars of the day for us were the Beanball Bourbon and the American whiskey. The American whiskey is warming and grainy, with a mellow finish. The Bourbon has a smoky quality reminiscent of a single malt scotch, which is our drink of choice. We were unable to leave without a bottle. The shop is also full of quirky goods and artisanal food and beverages. Definitely worth a stop if you're in town!

I lived in Cooperstown for a year and watched as this place was built and emerged as a business. However, I actually didn't get a chance to come here until the day I moved out of Cooperstown. I stopped in quick to sample their spirits and I was very pleasantly surprised; the decor is quite nice and the people were very friendly. The spirits were exceptional as well and the bottles they come in are really neat (and baseball-themed). I'm not a huge fan of vodka and never drink it straight, but their vodka was very smooth and could stand on its own without being mixed with anything. The bourbon was very good as well and was better than most bourbons out there. The gin is the real standout here though; it's spiced perfectly and the flavor of the juniper berries really stands out, unlike some other gins that taste pretty much like vodka. All in all, it's a very good place and a great addition to the already stellar beverage scene in the Cooperstown area.

Imagine a bottle shaped like a baseball and turn it over and the base is the playing field....sold with gin or vodka! You can get the commemorative bottle without the alcohol or on a stand. The bottles are amazingly designed and soon theory will add rum to their list now of bourbon, gin and vodka.

A gem of a place located in Cooperstown. It is a very nice place, offering vodka, gin, and bourbon tastings which were very good indeed. The distillery is clean and atmosphere is great. Staff very friendly. Definitely worth a stop in when in Cooperstown.

Hand crafted vodka that tasted smooth as silk. We purchased the Glimmerglass bottle - beautiful shape, etched and great for a host/hostess gift.

The distillery is absolutely lovely. We sampled all that was offered and were most impressed with the Fennimore Gin, which had an amazing and delicate character apparently infused by local botanicals. This is not your traditional London Dry, juniper-forward gin. We also enjoyed the Glimmerglass vodka, which was more interesting than traditional grain-neutral spirits. Finally, the Beanball Bourbon was lovely. We met one of the distillers, Rory, who was incredibly gracious and shared information on upcoming releases...currently aging in barrels. The storefront was amazingly decorated and had lots of cool swag. Additionally, the distillery will soon have house-inspired and, I believe, house-made bitters. Really worth your time if you're in Cooperstown on the beverage trail.

What a find! Located in a small non-descript, "used to be a warehouse"-type building away from the retail baseball traffic in the center of town....Keep looking! You won't be disappointed.Visited this home of "handcrafted artisanal spirits" (bourbon, gin and 2 kinds of vodka) in late March with another couple. Rainy and cold day, but tastes of the SMOOTH liquor created at CD warmed us all. The tour (private if you get there early) with Rory was very informative and enlightening. Highly, highly recommend.
