The Elmwood Village is a unique neighborhood with many shops and lots of restaurants and bars. It is close to Buffalo State College as well as incredible art galleries and Delaware Park. You can walk the "Elmwood Strip" and stop at nearby parks. During summer there are free concerts and farmers markets. You will find a very diverse collection of people which I love!

A variety of restaurants, coffee shops, bars, clothing and gifty stores, a great bookstore - and residential side streets filled with beautiful houses. In warm weather, take a break on Bidwell Parkway - one of Buffalo's Olmsted designed parkways.

I love meeting up with my sister's and friends to shop at the Elmwood strip! We have so much fun and find the best gifts! Naturally, we stop for a few beverages and delicious eats as well

Lots of little shops and wonderful locally owned restaurants Easy walking and lots of activity!!Start at either end of the strip either on the North with Albright Knox art gallery and Burchfield Penney Arts Center and walk down to wonderful restaurants including Trattoria Aroma on Bryant, or Toros

Hi, @lolagirlToronto,I'm sorry to hear that you had such a negative experience in our neighborhood. I do hope you consider giving the Elmwood Village another go, especially since there is far too much to see in only 90 minutes. Our commercial strip is almost 2 miles long and features over 200 boutiques, restaurants, and specialty shops. We are quite confident that our neighborhood has something for everyone. I'm especially sorry to hear that your vehicle was vandalized in the short time you were here. The Elmwood Village has been and continues to be the safest neighborhood in Buffalo and this experience, while concerning, is not common.

Elmwood Village has it all! Entertainment, great food, nice shops for great things to purchase, coffee shops where you can just sit and people watch. There is a great night life here as well. Lots of interesting night spots to party with your friends. Speaking of food, there is every kind of food here from Italian, Greek, Chinese, Japanese, Thai, Mexican, American etc,

The street has some interesting attributes but it doesn't strike me as unusually special. Unfortunately it's a very mixed community with bad areas adjacent. The restaurants and shops are nice. Frankly, I have enjoyed walking around the neighborhood looking at the old homes.

The Elmwood strip is eclectic and beautiful filled with unique cool architecture shops businesses people and great restaurants. Many yearly festivals occur here that are well worth it to visit and enjoy.

The houses there were unique and different from where we were from. We took a walk around 6:30 pm at night and got scared as it simply did not look safe for us. I wonder why this place was rated so high. Few people walking on the street at dinner time on a Wednesday. What should we be looking for or at, except for speeding up to get into your car before it's dark? I am confused about the rating here.

We enjoyed the walkability of this historic neighborhood. There are lots of small shops and restaurants, easy parking if you have a car. But most of all, it's a great place to stroll and take in the sights.

Elmwood Village is meant for walking. It's a very pleasant area with many fascinating little shops, cafés, and restaurants to choose from. Prices can be a bit high, but so generally is the quality. It's also worthwhile to wander up and down some of the side streets. You will see a rich variety of older homes, many lovingly restored.

Find the best unusual Christmas presents any time of the year! You will discover local artisans, foodies, and things like olive oil.

Elwood village has a character unlike any where else. There are plenty of places to eat, great places to shop, and a wonderful farmers market as well. Parking can be alittle limited to try to make use of public tranportation. Also the place if great for dog owners so bring sparky with you. I also suggest visiting in the summer when the farmers market is really thriving, go early at 7:00am because they close at 1:00pm

We strolled through Elmood Village on a Saturday afternoon. It was pleasant, but the neighbourhood was far less interesting and had far fewer shops and restaurants than I was expecting from the reviews.
