Great exhibit! Beautiful things to look at and a few hands-on activities for school aged kids. It was a fun and educational place to explore with my kids (6.5 & 10). We spent about 90 minutes there. Also fun & free is the Page Museum on campus.

The displays are amazing and the director, Gretchen Faulkner is very knowledgeable. I have used this space for a reception to showcase the exhibits and to bring people to a hidden gem on the University of Maine campus.Great for family outings, lectures and just to poke around the exhibits and see some of the great pieces on display.

Features Native American art and artifacts and is co-located with the Collins Center at the University of Maine's flagship campus in Orono. The exhibits are interesting and often you can speak with some very interesting professors expert on the different materials. When you are done, a short walk takes you to the student union for a cold drink & sandwich. The campus is very visitor friendly and safe so this makes a great midway point for families with younger children looking for a very fun and inexpensive daytime event.Walking the rest of the campus is sure to be enjoyable with the added benefit of seeing some of the Maine teams practicing or playing and the Stillwater River just across College Avenue.Enjoy.
