We took our kids (11 and 9) on the last day of a long weekend in Maine. They had a great time and want to go back when we revisit the Portland area next summer. It looked like so much fun that my husband and I will definitely try it too! Great bunch of guys running it-btw.

Wow! What an awesome experience. I honestly wish I could do it every day! For someone who doesnt work out, it left me a little sore the next day, but in a good way!! I can tell I was working my muscles. I am petrified of heights but was still able to do the ziplines, after much hesitation, but I am SO glad I did. My boyfriend and I went with another couple and we had a blast. We look forward to also trying the other locations. The staff was super friendly as well. The only reason it gets and not is because the giant swing that they said they had on the website was not available, and the helmet smelled like b.o. (to be expected, but maybe they can practice better cleaning habits).Looking forward to my next trip to Monkey Trunks!!

My sister in law, her husband and four kids came to visit my husband and I. We found the Monkey Trunks website while looking for things to do when they visited. We went to the Saco, ME Monkey Trunks and had an absolute blast. Although some of us were a bit shy to do the zipline at first, we all did it and it was amazing!! I would recommend going here for anyone wanting a little something different!

Went to monkey trunks with a few friends from school. I am terrified of heights but the staff were reassuring every step of the way. Good exercise, fresh air, great staff, and an overall AWESOME time!

Website says the address is 98 Waterfall Road, that leads you to an empty plot of land. Be sure to set GPS to Cascade Road! I expected being guided and directed through the course, so it was surprising when we were given a brief (but very thorough) intro and then left to do whatever we wanted. We paid online and filled out the waiver beforehand-but still had to fill the waiver out at the facility. I liked how the "smart belay" system would not allow one clip to unhook until the other hook was secured. Staff were young and I expected them to be very passive, but they were alert and very professional. Overall good experience, it was nice to be able to do what you felt comfortable doing and lead yourself. Would go back but not very often since it cost be $80 for myself and boyfriend.

The staff was very helpful, my daughter enjoyed climbing around and the zip lines. I enjoyed watching her enjoy herself. We will be back in the new year to have even more fun, I'm sure of it.

We had a great time! Just wish on the smaller zipline there was something other then the rocks to skip across. Also my helmet strap go caught on the larger zipline when I went down which ended up in a rope like burn to my neck area. Other then that it was a blast

I won't speak for everyone, just my experience there. I took my 9 and 11 year old kids to Monkey Trunks at the end of August and my 11 year old couldn't get enough of it, but my 9 year old (after 2 1/2 hours) had had enough. It cost a pretty penny (they are older so too big for the kids' course - the price was $39 each). Needless to say, I didn't participate in it, but it was fun to watch them. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND MAKING RESERVATIONS AHEAD OF TIME! We were there on vacation and just kind of 'showed up' and there was a 3 hour wait before the kids could participate. The staff was young but attentive, and each participant was given a short instruction course to make sure they knew how to use the equipment. It's very safe - the climber can not move to a new rope without at least one harness attached, and there are staff along the course to help climbers that get stuck or to rescue ones that are too afraid to continue. There's an awesome zipline at the end of the course, a rock wall and plenty of parking. The facilities and equipment were clean and the location is VERY easy to get to, even for visitors. We will definitely go again, and I'll save a little extra so I can try it out too!

We visited Monkey Trunks at the end of August 2014. After getting into our harnesses and a brief training & safety intro we were off. Although I'm somewhat scared of heights (ok, maybe not the best activity for me), I felt comfortable doing the entire course. Everyone in our group had a great time. You can challenge yourself at various levels--from hanging on to the harness to go from landing to landing, to trying to complete each challenge by balancing.I'd highly recommend Monkey Trunks -- I felt that there was a serious commitment to safety (important when you're dangling 40 feet above ground), the staff was pleasant & helpful and the morning was fun.Plan on spending about 2 to 3 hours at the course. Wear comfortable shorts that are a little stretchy.

My husband and I were on our first trip to Maine and I decided to book this zip line extravaganza for us (he wasn't thrilled). They prefer reservations and require payment in full, so I figured it was for safety reasons as to not overcrowd the facility. Boy was I wrong. The place itself is great: friendly staff, amazing setup, great price and you stay as long as you want it seems-which also seems to be the problem. You are asked to make reservations, then we stood waiting for almost an hour while they got dozens of other people suited up so out 10am appt turned into 11:15 and we could hardly move because of the amount of people and they would continue to add people instead of having a time limit or an "end" to the course. So it just kept getting more crowded. Other than the safety issue it was a blast and a great idea.

My best friend and I went to Monkey Trunks in search if an active alternative to a day of shopping or a lunch date (and we really wanted to ride the zip line). We were so impressed with how much fun, even challenging at some points, the ropes course was. We stayed there for about two hours and neither of us completed every obstacle because there are so many levels and so many ways of navigating the course. Would definitely recommend for anyone looking to fill a day off.

My 10 yr old daughter and I had a lot of fun. Staff was helpful and fun. The harnesses are great. Some of the obstacles there wasn't enough slack on the harnesses to really go for it without "cheating". A good time. Hot in the direct sun.

Great place for an outing. It is fun, challenging, and a good workout. But it's a bit expensive. We spent 3 hours there and that was plenty of time. We paid $39 each which is more than an amusement park. Although it was fun, I do t think it's worth that much.

The website only says your child must be able to reach 48". It says NOTHING about how old you must be. My son was tall enough, so we made a reservation and paid online, then drove an hour to get there. Once there, they refused to let him climb, because he wasn't 5. Not every employee follows that rule, though, because saw younger children already on the course, and we knew a classmate who had gone the week before. My 6 year old stayed and did the ropes course, but got bored quickly. She wasn't tall enough though to move on to the adult course. I might go again, but not until both kids were big/old enough to go on the adult course, or it would just be a waste of money.

First time visit and loved it. We will be going back this week my children absolutely loved it here. All the people working were very nice and helpful too. I got stuck on the zip line and help was there immediately!
