They have regular old bands coming in every month and they are an old standby for good food. We had a tremendous Thanksgiving dinner there 3 years ago. We also had dinner last Tuesday night and it was pricey, with portions on the smaller side. Caesar salad was chopped pretty small and average but fresh romaine. Wine list and service is solid and desserts are impressive.

I ate at Jonathan's a few years ago and came back recently for another dinner. The service was average and the food was just okay. Nothing special and a bit pricey. There are better options in town.

We're here with a Cosmos group viewing fall foliage and were treated to a fantastic Maine lobster dinner with clam chowder, tossed salad, whole Maine lobster with corn on the cob, baked potato and apple crisp for dessert. Service was great and our group of 16 throughly enjoyed the entire evening. Delightful ambience goes right along with the quality of the meal.

My husband and I were staying at Meadowmere for the weekend and rather than go further we decided to try Jonathan's and we were not disappointed. To start I ordered an Elderberry Martini a Jonathan's speciality. I don't like sweet drinks and this was not overly sweet and wasn't too tart...perfect. My husband was happy there were several choices of craft beers. The room was light in the early evening looking out at seasonal flowers and a statue in a garden. Tables were all set and cobalt blue water glasses offset the white linens. My husband ordered Duck with some concern because it's often overdone and disappointing but I had read a review that raved about it and when it came and was everything he wanted in a Duck Entree he was impressed. I ordered Swordfish Francaise and it was unique, flavorful and delicious. The menu has so many choice I love it was a hard choice but I'm very glad I had this. Several other tables had Lobster and I must admit they looked better than usual. I love Crab and that was something they did not have but lots of other choices. Everything on our plates was cooked perfectly and the service personnel was excellent also. For dessert we ordered tiramisu and it was one of the best I have ever had.

Jonathan's is a small (250 person) venue and is great for a concert. There are 60-70 small tables of 4, a bit crowded together, but comfortable. The furthest seat is about 50 feet from the stage. Judy Collins was special. Singing her oldies, new songs, a bit of Sondheim, she and her pianist brought down the house. Her voice is still great, sings with feeling, and gave a great deal of history to the audience. Stories of the folk music stars and anecdotes supplemented the performance.Jonathan's is a great venue to listen to music in an intimate setting and be close to the performer.

From the moment Don Campbell walked into the room before the concert even began I knew it would be a memorable evening. Don’s voice and smile fill up a room and people are naturally drawn to him. I watched as he stopped to greet his fans, shaking their hands, smiling, signing autographs and thanking them for being there. Later during the brief intermission he continued to sign autographs, posed for photographs and just carried on meaningful conversations from the heart. During the concert he shared the back stories, the reasons why he wrote the songs and why they were chosen for each album. He talked lovingly of his mom and how the two of them were together each holding one of his dad’s hands when he passed and how the words his mother spoke stirred him to write the song “The Dust Never Settles”. He shared songs of hope, songs of love and songs of support. He shared with us his gratefulness for our veterans and how important it is to him that he dedicate a song to them on his different albums. He shared a couple of them with us. He spoke of Dan Fogelberg and mentioned that a portion of the proceeds of the sales of the Don Campbell “KITES TO FLY” (celebrating the music of Dan Fogelberg) CD will be donated to the Fogelberg Foundation of Peoria. Don repeatedly thanked his band and they were so amazing. After the concert, Don stayed around and continued to visit with his fans, answering their questions, signing autographs and posing for pictures. There is something so special about a concert at Jonathan’s Ogunquit. His musicians and entertainers connect with their audiences. It is almost like you are seated in your own living room and you have a front row seat to the most spectacular and intimate performances.
