Although I have been to Ogunquit many times, this was the first time that I had a chance to visit the Library. This unique building has always fascinated me. It is such an interesting spot with so much historical information. A great spot to spend some quiet timewhile browsing the collection of books.

Gem of a old fashioned library. Usually a book sale in the summer where you can find some great hardcovers

If you find yourself in Ogunquit, drop into the Ogunquit Memorial Library. It's a step back into history. A beautiful building both inside and out. Well worth a visit!

It was a small but wonderful library and the outside was made of great stones and looked very warm and inviting , so we chose to go in and were glad we did.

great collection of local books and photos and paintings, comfortable chairs, current newspapers, and, of course, lots of fiction and non-fiction. Nice place to stop in and read.

2 rooms, adorable building, limited seating and hours open but very nice. always has an on going book/video sale.

We dodged into the library to escape an October downpour -- and because my wife, a librarian, enjoys visiting other libraries. Despite the fact that it was 20 minutes before closing time on a Saturday (Extra credit: This library is open until 5 p.m. Saturday), the librarian greeted us warmly and told us a bit about the building, the town and its history. The small stone structure is quite striking. It was warm and welcoming on an October afternoon, but struck me as perhaps being more of a dark retreat during summer. The collection is small, but there are plenty of resources on local history and lore. It is a refreshing oasis from the upscale shops and fancy eateries.

This is a charming little library in a charming little town. Worth a quick visit. It has a lot of old books and it is a quick walk from the town.

In a beautiful stone (church-like) bldg, built in late 1880's, two main rooms. I believe they do not use computer technology (but do have wifi available), so it was like stepping back into a library in the 1940's, complete with card catalogs. Definitely worth a visit!

This place is filled with good old and new books. Worth a read ! After we salute the librarian, she said right away "there's no restrooms here". Very inviting : we were coming for the books and didin't ask a thing. She seemed tired to see quiet tourists.

My sister and I both work for libraries in our home towns, so we had to stop in this charming old town library. The librarian was very friendly and informative. I couldn't remember the name of a Maine mystery writer (only remembered his first name) and she went out of her way to figure out (GERRY BOYLE). Nice quiet spot, and a beautiful old building.

Tiny, but packed full of great books. It is a nice place to take a quiet break from the sun and sand.

The building attracted us to the library. We were lucky enough that it was open at the time we were there. It is the original library, built, I believe, in the1800s. It is small--which only makes it amazingly cozy and beautiful doesn't begin to describe it. It's worth a short--or long visit--length of your visit depending on your interest in libraries/historic sites!
