Beautiful tasting room, great tours and really interesting beer. One of our favorite stops when visiting Portland.

Really cool brewery...Ended up not doing a tour, just a tasting as one can only see brew tours so many times! Not my particular favorite style of beer, but a cool place none the less.Check out (across the street) Bissel Brothers Brewing, Foundation Brew and Austin Street Brew...If you go to Austin, you MUST have the Milk Stout with Coco nibs...Foundation was really cool too, awesome stout. Bissel brothers was really cool, hip and a long line to purchase beers. Also, not sure about during the week, but the Saturday we went, they had a food stand that had the BEST burritos you will ever eat...And after so many beers, good to have some food! They charge a little for samples of beer, but C'mon, support local peeps! Totally worth it!!!

I love Allagash beers so it was great to come here and see where the magic happens. You can do great tastings after the tour, but they don't offer food to go with their beer. What they do offer is a smattering of Allagash gear and a comprehensive selection of their beers, even rare ones that you can't find in stores. This is a great way to spend an hour or two outside of downtown.

We had a great time visiting Allagash Brewery. The tour was really informative, and we really enjoyed the tasting, which took place in one of the rooms where they age their beer. They have a few beers that you can only buy at their brewery, so that was a great treat. The one thing I will say is that we wanted to have a beer before our tour (we got there a little early), but they only will give one tasting per person, per day. So you can't just hang out and buy a beer. But I guess it makes sense since you need to drive there. But another positive thing that we didn't know about, is that there are three other microbreweries on the same street, in addition to Allagash! We will definitely go back and be more prepared to try beer at all of the breweries, this time with a DD and a full belly of food!

I have had a few chances to get over to Allagash and every time that i have gone in to this Brewery i am amazed! The team is very professional, curteous, and know so much about the great beer that they serve. You get to sample the beer complimentary and the tours are absolutely great. Keep it going guys!!

If you're into Belgian ales and cask conditioned ales, then this is your place to visit! Allagash is always a stop on our visit when we are back in my hometown. The tour is free, takes about 30 minutes and includes some samples of what's currently on tap. Friendly folks, great beer, who could ask for more?

Stopped in on our annual Maine trip. Tasting room only this time (did the tour of the old facility and then again last year after the expansion. By the looks of the construction, we'll have to take another tour again next year.) Staff is always pleasant. Had to get some new stuff in the store. My one wish - guys, please please please get some women's clothing in normal colors and shapes? (What's with that weird half shirt thing available this year?) Why do the guys get options in nice earth tones and we can either have neon pink or neon teal if we want a regular t-shirt? I'm guessing I'm not the only female that thinks this in the store.

Having been a fan of Allagash white for many years, it was great to visit the brewery when vacationing in Maine. This is home-spun goodness and the tour, although short, was informative. The complimentary beer tasting was awesome. We sampled Tripel, Curieux, James Bean, Black and Bourbon barrel black. My taste buds were awakened! Thank you Allagash crew and please, please, please distribute to Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. Quality product A+++

Being from California, Allagash beers are not easily found. There is distribution out here (which we also learned about on the tour), but it's not like every place has it on tap. So while we were in "allagash country" we decided to take the tour. And it did not disappoint! The tour was free and lasted a quick 20-30 minutes. The coolest part was definitely hearing the background of the company and seeing the Curieux room - a cold, dark room filled with whiskey barrels that the beer ages in for 2 months. After the tour, there was a small tasting of 4 beers, none of which we had tried before and all seriously delicious. My one complaint was that they don't sell beer by the glass - otherwise we would have stayed even longer!

Me and my Chubby Bunny went to wet our whistle and try some of Portland's local brews. The free tours include a tasting of four 3-ounce samples, so you'll most likely spend your money here on a t-shirt you'll wear a couple times that will eventually find it's way to Goodwill. Tour wasn't too long, at most 30 minutes. Not sure the tour guide was totally up to speed on what was happening, but we enjoyed it all the same. While we were there, the brewery was under construction but the tasting room was done and we wished we could have stuck around for a beer or two (they don't serve aside from the samples), it had a nice vibe to it.Worth at trip if you have a few hours to kill in Portland.

I really like a lot of their beers, so when I had the opportunity to visit the brewery I was very excited. So disappointing. 4 beers on tap, but nothing I couldn't get almost anywhere else. At least the tasting was free. The tasting room was packed with merchandise - selling the brand seemed to be the most important thing on their mind. $10 for a piece of wood with a bolt attached to use as a bottle opener? No thank you. The staff was very nice and the tasting room itself was nice, but the experience itself was forgettable.

Tour is just the right amount of time, around 20 minutes. We were given headsets so we could hear the information provided by the knowledge and friendly guide. A very good idea for the headsets, wish more attractions would use them for their tours. We were given information about the grains used and the mashing of the different craft brews. The facility has been expanded. We toured the keg storage area and the bottling area and the storage of the Curieux in the Jim Bean bourbon/whiskey barrels. The tasting of the 4 beers after the tour were free. We sampled House Beer, Saison, Tripel, and Hugh Malone in a very nice tasting room. The grounds are nicely landscaped. I am not a beer drinker but found the stop worth the time.

Allagash is one of my favorite breweries, so I jumped at the chance to be able to visit. I wasn't disappointed - great tour with super knowledgeable and friendly staff, cozy little tasting room, and was able to snag some sweet limited stuff while we were there. If you're a fan of Belgians, or just really great locally proud craft beer, check them out!

We stopped here on our way to Bar Harbor, ME. It wasn't very crowded and we were served samples by friendly staff. Very cool design of the bar and interior. Great bear selection and opportunity to try some different varieties.

What more could one ask for from one of the top Craft Brewers in the country. The 4 beers we tasted we each unique and near the top of beers in their individual style. The young folks who work the bar and gift shop were friendly, welcoming and quite knowledgeable. Although you have to drive through a few of the backroads of Portland to get here, it's worth it.
