They charge $5 for a pony to go around 1 time! It takes less than one minute for the ride. They tricked me and said its at least a few munutes. I literally sat down took a few breaths and he was done. I couldn't believe it. The manager was rude and didnt care at all that I walked away dissatisfied. If this place was fair and honest and cared about their customers, they would have seen me as a repeat customer and would not have dismissed me in that manner. Clearly all they care about is stealing from people. The rates compared to value for pony rides is outrageous. Visit other farms. You will just dissapoint your child and burn a hole in your wallet.

What a terrible terrible experience. I have gone on multiple horseback adventures and trail rides within the US as well as internationally and this was by far the most awful experience. The owner treats her employees terrible, screaming inappropriately at them and our trail guide Tiffany (who was 18 mind you) had no teaching or guiding skills what so ever. They yell and scream at the riders making for a very unpleasant experience. There are clearly too many horses for one guide to handle. My friends 9 year old daughter was in tears because she was yelled at so much. the woman just kept screaming "kick it, kick it, harder"!! Many of the horses were over worked and over tired. Extremely poor customer service I would never go back, not even if it were free.

My husband took me here my birthday. We had a really nice ride. Everyone was very friendly and explained everything so I felt very comfortable. We did a private ride which was well worth it. It's not that much more and you get a better ride because in a group you have many different level of abilities. The trails were so beautiful. I will definitely go back and I highly recommend Sunset Stables.

It was cold but sunny and the snow was fresh. It was great for a ride in the woods in the pristine snow. We saw deer.

Recommended to us by Ashley D we decided to come for my wife's first ever horseback ride. Upon arrival we noticed a hard working staff keeping the area spotlessly clean. No sign or smell of waste, or flies, like I have seen at other stables. Well groomed trail horses were well matched up to us based on our riding experience. The trail ride was easy and safe through the woods, where remnant damage from the hurricane that came through awhile back was still visible. All in all a great riding experience. We are already planning to return with some friends. Thanks Ashley for your spot on description of Sunset Stables. We had an excellent ride

This is a place where you can go for a quiet horse ride through the woods and the cost is very reasonable. The trails go up and down hill and are rocky so there are only short stretches suitable for a faster pace. Sometimes you see wildlife. I go there regularly for a quiet ride but you can probably make arrangements if you want something more challenging. The horses are well cared for and selected for being safe and good trail horses. Western saddles are used. There are picnic tables and sometimes people have birthday parties there. They bring their own food, etc. Pony rides are available for young children. You can also take riding lessons, english or western. It is not a place to board your own horse. They are open year round but there is no indoor arena for the lessons. When you ride, it is best to wear long pants and shoes or boots with heels but I have seen people ride with less suitable summer attire. Taking pictures while on your ride is discouraged but staff is very willing to take pictures of you with your camera before or after the ride.
