cute little villages with a very pretty City Hall as the centerpiece. Lots of churches. Right now it's a mess because of all the construction

Apponaug is a typical business district with a few stores and one historical building. Not worth going out of your way or stopping. Little tourist value.

its nice to walk or run around with a cool hobby shop but wouldn't call it a destination; its local for us so were there daily. stay out for awhile they are fixing the worst potholes in the state

Once again they are trying to solve the traffic circle problem and it is all torn up - I would avoid it for a few months

The Crow's Nest is a great, go to restaurant with consistently good food, comfortable prices, and nice atmosphere. It is a local spot, because of the location. Once found, it will not be forgotten.

You can't walk around and there was no quality places worth stopping at. I was expecting a lot more than what was offered. Not really worth checking out.

When they fix the roads around Apponaug (there is a plan) which will reduce historic Apponaug to one lane with better parking and lass traffic, it will be great. There are little shops, on and off the main strip, a friendly old post office, etc. But it will never be homey with two lanes of traffic coming through like gangbusters. More than one car has lost its door upon opening I am sure!

Our little Apponaug village is one of those adorable sections of town that can be easily forgotten so you need to look at it from an outsiders eye...and you can see the value in the shops, restaurants and art museum with their revolving exhibits. Many fine dining and casual restaurants are a short walk.
