I was a student here, just around the time that it went from being a College to a University. During that same time they seemingly bought up half of downtown to expand their campus and it is simply amazing. Proud to be an alum - and to see how Providence looks these days.

In my younger days I took a few business courses related to food and wine and management degree. Now they are spread in Providence and Cranston. It the best place to go for refeshing course in the culinary field and find out about new trends in the food world.Ther always something new that we can learn as time goes by,I love the school, every 3 years people who work in the food business are mandatory to renew the licenses to certified for food safety, that includes me,I always like to go to meat new people and get updated and learn about new ways to make sure the food we eat and serve is safe.Johnson &Wales is an amazing place,it is like a fancy show Room every place we go,teachers are great, everybody is happy and excited to be there.some rooma are like an antique museum, others are the most sophisticate and modern.I love it.

Its been a good time! Professors usually know what they are talking about and are very educated in whatever field you are studying. I am glad I picked JWU over another school!

The culinary museum features a room set up as a diner; another as a country fair; another as a soda shop. One room is an actual stagecoach tavern complete with a pull-down bed with rope mattress. There are exhibits of Howard Johnson's memorabilia and of antique blenders, etc. We also enjoyed exhibits of elaborate cakes, sugar art creations, and Johnson & Wales chef jackets signed by various celebrity chefs. The student guides were knowledgeable and enthusiastic. Our only regret was that the museum has no gift shop!

At Johnson & Wales University, you can rest assure that your children will get the best culinary education there is, with two great campuses, one located in Cranston, Narragansett Blvd. and one in Down Town of Providence. To me the best culinary university in the country.

GO to the food museum. The only thing that will disappoint you is the lack of actual food. You will leave the place starving!

Enjoyed touring culinary campus. Cuisinart building and activities interesting and impressive. First week of new term so much youthful excitement and exuberance. Also enjoyed a charming tea restaurant in the city, the "Duck and Bunny". Incredible, unique offerings of small meal choices and beverages.

A growing university with a beautiful campus and state of the art culinary center. In the few years that we've been visiting the university has added playing fields and a concession building as they grow their university teams and offerings.

Wildcat orientation session. Starting off really good so far. Great rates at the hotels if you mention that you are staying for orientation . Great information on what to do while your student is at orientation. I had a good time.

I love everything about this place, however, you must see it for yourself, especially if you're a student trying to find a new school.

This is an excellent culinary school. In fact, it is known nationally and churns out a lot of successful chefs. The only drawback is that it is located in a bad (crime-ridden) section of Providence.

We went for a cooking class a while ago, and really enjoyed it. They are a bit expensive, but the small weekend classes give you a lot of individual attention. We left with some great recipes, and you get a wonderful lunch that you have helped prepare. Ours was the New England cuisine class, so tons of seafood made it worth the money.
