Nolin Lake State Park is a very nice park but it does not have very many trailer camp sites. They have plenty of tent sites. There is a very nice bath house in trailer camping but none near tents. The lake is very nice. There is a boat launch. There is a hiking/biking trail, but it would be a pretty rough ride on a bicycle. It leads to a water falls, but unless there has been recent rain, you will not see a falls. The park is about 40 minutes from Mammoth Cave. Ask for directions to the park via the water ferry across the river. It is the shortest ferry ride imaginable and it is free! We drove to Mammoth Cave 3 times and took the ferry there and back each time. It cuts your travel time by 20-30 minutes. You can enter Nolin Lake State Park without paying any fees, but there is a small cost to camp.

Spacious level sites. Most with trees and some with water views. Clean bath house. It is a smallish campground well done. Usually quiet. There is a playground for children. Fishing in the lake. There is a foot path to a swimming area.We had no cell phone service but some did. Depends on your carrier.

Brought my dog for a walk around the park. First visited the spillway at the dam. Nice views of limestone cliff downriver. Very reminiscent of Taylorsville Lake dam, except for the rocks on the dam instead of grass. At the state park, a nice view of the lake and a walking trail. A good place for boating, as I remember when I was first here many years ago when I was 7. Be sure to take a side trip to the Green River ferry inside Mammoth Cave NP. Beautiful drive and beautiful river.

We got to our camping site Friday night to see Duck feces EVERYWHERE!! We had tents and you can only put them on the gravel lot.. Great.. Duck feces.... Down on the water DUCK FECES!! I was shocked! Heard so many good things about Nolin.. Do not camp on the water D camping ground. You figure they would keep the area clean. I woke to a soar throat and felt sick. We left first thing in the morning.. Just nasty! I was glad to get out of there. Wont be returning. Glad to go back home.

Site 22 and 23 were fantastic! Lake front access from the campsites. Very spacious and quiet location. It was hot and humid during our stay but escaping to Mammoth Cave or jumping into the lake made it tolerable. Great location if you want a quiet, off the beaten path location. Night time is so quiet and the fireflies were everywhere! A great time with my family and friends.

Kentucky's Nolin Lake S.P. is a wonderful campground to spend some time relaxing. While it's a little bit out of the way, it's well worth the trip. The R.V. sites have water and electric (50, 30, 15 amp) service. The sites are clean and spacious with lots of shade trees. The campground personnel were very helpful and answered all of our questions. We loved the site (19) which overlooked Nolin Lake. While we did not use them, there are shower and laundry facilities available. The lake is fairly large. It's a 15 - 20 minute trip to Mammoth Caves National Park (a bucket-list visit) and about 45 minutes to Bowling Green, KY. There is no campground store but there are some local stores within a short drive. Cell phone service is almost non-existent within the campground but is available about 1 mile outside. The campground fills up on weekends so it's a good idea to make reservation. Nice place. Nice visit!

We checked into the campground on a Monday and checked out on Thursday. The campground was very clean and quiet. The lake views were beautiful although access from our actual site was not ideal. The campground is small, only 32 sites but the amenities were great. We didn't encounter many directional signs and we thought we were lost but we kept on using the address in our gps and everything worked out just fine. The campground office gave us directions to ride the ferry over to Mammoth Cave park and that was a nice shortcut and very scenic, I think it was only 14 miles. There is not a camp store so come prepared, the nearest store we found was Webb's, it was a small convenience-type store, they had firewood, bait, some grocery, etc. We did go to the beach one evening with the kids and it was clean and enjoyable...until some locals arrived. We had to leave, there was a group of about 10 people, they brought their dog (which is not permitted), they acted drunk and used very offensive language around our kids. That didn't change our opinion of the campground, we were still very impressed. There are laundry facilities but there was no change machine or detergent machine. It costs $1.50 for each wash and dry, I will come more prepared next time! This campground is excellent if you just want to relax! There really isn't anything else to do except Mammoth Cave, but that's what we went for so no big surprise there. We stayed at site 29 and that was a great site but we thought site 21 had the best lake view.

We rode through Lake Nolin on a motorcycle tour a couple of years ago on a motorcycle group ride, and decided to come back later to spend a day picnicking and watching the boats on the lake. The scenery is beautiful and relaxing

We camped at Nolin Lake State Park for a week while seeing the sights around the area. It was very clean and well maintained. The campsites were large and well spaced with flat gravel pads. Our site had a view of the lake as well as a small trail that provided access to the lake for swimming. The bath house looked fairly new and was also clean and well maintained. The park is close to Mammoth Cave. The staff provided us with directions to the cave that had a short cut via a free ferry. The park was about 30 minutes from Bowling Green (Corvette Plant and Corvette Museum) and about an hour away from many bourbon distilleries. Don't count on the camp store for many supplies.

Nolan Lake SP had just re-opened when we visited for spring break after being shut down a year for rebuilding after flooding. It was a great place to stay! Bath houses were cleaned daily and updated. Staff was friendly and VERY helpful. Sites are large and well spaced. We put 2 very large tents and a dining canopy on the tent pad and still had plenty of room to gather around the fire pit. Most campsites are adjacent to the water. There was no swimming (there is a beach somewhere) but it was too cold for that to be an issue. Nolan is near Mammoth Cave National Park, so you can stay at the state park cheaper (and have electricity) and visit Mammoth Cave on day trips. Will go again!

A very nice , and family oriented camping park . It has a playground , beach and plenty of good fishing. The staff is very friendly and helpful . The draw back to this Park , it has only 32 sites . The camp store is very small and has a very limited supplies !

Nolin Lake State park is very small (32 sites) but well maintained and beautiful. The sites are spacious- roomy and each have pads ( crushed/packed gravel) that are very large so no muddy areas right around you camp. I love it here! The sites in the back loop have beautiful views of the lake. The lake is an attraction for boaters and sometimes the jet skis can be noisy, so that may bother some but didn't bother us. Mammoth Caves are just 10 mins away and you take this little ferry to get your car across the river to get there.( It's free) I was fascinated by that! Lot's of shade in this park, but a couple sites closer to the front did not have much. The people in the office are very nice and helpful. One thing to warn you about- our GPS sent us down a very narrow gravel road with our camper, because (we found out later) it saved you 3 miles. So if your GPS tells you to take Brooks Road- Don't do it! We can laugh now, but it was an adventure!
