Nasty & run down with a very rude owner. Not a place you would want to take your children. All around horrible experience. Bathrooms have no doors or stalls & everything is worn out. We have been a few times but will not be going back.

Yes, if you are an older teenager or yuppie, this may not be for you. But if you have younger kids, you can get them worn out here, very inexpensively. The roller skating rink is a dying breed, and there is very little money to be made in it to keep things updated. But the owner keeps it open to give kids good healthy fun. There is a big main rink and then a slightly smaller one with some fun "scooting" toys and ramps and such, so kids who cannot skate or don't want to skate the whole time can play like crazy. Our 5 and 3 year olds will sleep very well tonight, well worth the total $15 we spent.

Overpriced, no snack bar, very outdated, poor condition of building and available skates - some were even held together with gobs of hot glue - no privacy in bathrooms - an all around horrible experience - will NEVER go back

Circus skate Murray is a great place to go for family fun! I love the selection of classic arcade and pinball machines as well as the option to either skate or use skateboards, rollerracers, bmx bikes and scooters on a separate floor adjacent to the main skate floor! They also do not allow any "riff raff" or "non-family" element to enter. Note: If you bring your own skates, CLEAN YOUR WHEELS first or they will not let you use them! Also, cover up your tatoos and do not wear "offensive" clothing.

Circus Skate in Murray, Kentucky is good family fun. The owner Joe Nanney does not allow smoking, no tattoos or piercing showing that is distasteful. Your children will not be allowed to leave early unless you come get them. If you are caught fighting you are kicked out from anywhere to 30 days to life. A great place to go for enjoyment, exercise and meet some new and exciting people. It is open on Friday and Saturday nights and Saturday afternoons parents get in for .25 cents. Great place to go good clean fun. Highly recommend.

This place is awesome. The only reason I don't have it 5 stars is because the owner doesn't recognize its full potential. First of all, the skating area is pretty big. It's probably the largest floor area of any roller rink that I've been to. The claim is that at one time it was the longest in the United States. Unfortunately, about a third of the rink was closed off and turned into a play area with ramps and bikes and stuff like that. It's really sad to see such a large portion of the rink wasted. The floor surface of the rink is kept clean and in great condition. It's incredibly smooth so you can really pick up some speed. It's just too bad that it doesn't have the length that it used to have. Even if the play area was just reduced by about 10 feet it would be a huge improvement. The atmosphere is great. It's like stepping back in time to the mid-80s. My childhood comes rushing back every time I'm in there. My only real gripe is the music. The building has a very 80s feel to it, and the customer base is almost completely white, so it's strange that such a high percentage of the music played is rap. It seems really out of place, and I just can't get in the groove skating to rap. A few rap tracks throughout the session would be fine, but it seems like it's about 70-80 percent, and it doesn't seem to align with the non-urban demographic.

We just started going to Circus Skate in the last few months after moving to Murray. I grew up in Paducah at Kingsway Skateland and that is all I have to compare this to. Circus Skate is owned by an older guy named Joe. He cares about his rink very much. Anyone who has their own skates will tell you he will not allow dirty skates on his floor. Ive had to wipe my skates down a few times. He also doesnt put up with any mouthing from the delinquent kids who get dropped off there by there parents for free babysitting. Overall We like going there and enjoy the way he runs his rink.
