I have been on several hourse farm tours but this one was the most personel and interesting of them all. With our hotel it was FREE with just a tip ofcourse which you were glad to give when it was over. Charlie Kramer is a personable ,knowledgebale and wonderful guide. The day we went we had a private tour . WE were so lucky! Don't miss this tour whether you pay or get it for free!! The American Saddlebred hourses are beautiful and you get to see them being trained and in action. If you are very lucky you might even get to meet Hoppy Bennett the owner,as you tour his beautiful home! ENJOY!!!

We recently spent the weekend in Lexington, touring horse country and taking in the beauty of the Bluegrass State. We took a tour of Undulata Farm, compliments of the Shelbyville Visitors Bureau with our tour guide being Charlie Kramer. Charlie was a fabulous and knowledgable tour guide. He knew the area, the horses, and the farm like the back of his hand. I knew NOTHING about Saddlebred horses before the tour so this was an enlightening experience for me. We saw many horses - those roaming the fields, those in the barns, and some being trained. The tour took us all over the fields and barns and even into the owner's period farm house. I can highly recommend this tour, especially if you're lucky enough to get Charlie as your guide.

We visited Undulata Farm in May, 2014. Charlie Kramer, our knowledgeable tour guide, actually picked us up at our nearby motel. There was a large bus tour that was scheduled that day and we ended up joining this group, but we were privy to some "behind the scenes" information before they arrived and actually was able to meet the owner, Hoppy Bennett. It was great to learn more about the beautiful American Saddlebred horse, see them in action, and see some of the new foals at the farm. There is also an extensive tour of the 1800s Victorian home that Mr. Bennett resides in. The tour is free, but it is quite appropriate to provide a gratuity to the tour guide. It was a wonderful morning!

We decided to take our daughter on a horse farm tour over spring break and Undulata was the obvious choice since I attended camp there as a young girl. We were thrilled to be able to schedule this through the Shelbyville tourism site. Charlie Kramer was our tour guide & picked us up from the Holiday Inn. Our tour of the house & farm lasted over 2 hours! It was AMAZING! The house is really something to see. Magnificent. We were also allowed to tour the barn while training was in session. My 10 year old was thrilled when the trainer brought out a young filly for her to see close up! The owner was there and very gracious. Overall this was one of our favorite stops during spring break. It is a free tour but we felt it was only appropriate to tip Charlie since he had spent several hours with us. If you are in the area, make plans to go!

Our family had gathered in June for a wedding in Shelby County. We stayed to enjoy some of the sights in the area and found this tour of the Undulata Farm truly a wonderful learning experience for us all. We were well educated by our tour guide, Katie, and she was patient to answer all our questions in this subject that we didn't know much about but gained a great appreciation of. We got to watch the Saddlebred walk around its pad and even meet and touch and get our picture with a newborn Saddlebred! We will recommend this tour to our friends. Thank you for sharing with us!

We spent two weeks in kentucky touring ,Bourbon, Wine, Mansions, and Horses. It was one of the best vacations for many reasons. The variety of things to do .The friendly people, but the real highlight of the trip had to be our tour of the America saddlebred farm , in Shelbyville, are guide was a young lady named Katie, her enthusiasm and knowledge was wonderful. The owner of the farm we toured was a true southern gentleman, he opened the farm and his home to us ,which was magnificent.. I would tell anyone wanting an unforgettable experience ,be sure to try to include this tour on your trip to Kentucky. The American saddlebred horses are a little known breed outside of the horse community ,but definitely one of the most beautiful you will ever see. Don't miss Shelbyville ,KY .One of the best tours ever.

Just returned from a trip to Kentucky with the senior club from Goshen, NY. One of our tours while visiting was to the Undulata horse farm to see the beautiful American saddleback horses. What a wonderful experience. It was the highlight of our trip. The very generous owners opened their magnificant home for us to see. Can't begin to describe the beauty of the home. You have to experience it yourself. During our tour we got to see the show horses and watch one work out. Very unexpectantly, we got to have pictures taken with a week old mare. Too adorable for words. Mr Bennett, the owner, educated us on the differences between a race horse and a show horse. We learned so much and I want to share this experience with anyone planning a trip to Louisville. Ky. Put it on your "Must Do List"!

I consider myself a resonably knowledgable horse enthusiast and have experienced quite a few horse farm tours; however, this one steps above the rest! A guide is devoted to you for your entire visit and provides information that you're interested in. Not a generic tour in which they try to get as many people through a possible, very neat! I would definitely recommend this to anyone who is looking to get close to a horse whether they know anything about them or not! The only remotely negative thing is they do require 24 hour advance notice for your reservation but that was easy enough to do since we did plan ahead.
