Walking into Railroad Street Mercantile in small-town Whitesburg was a treat. By having a vibrant "open" sign, my friend and I were attracted walk in the store and see what was being offered. And boy, were we in shock of the locally-made and convenient products that aligned the shelves. Ranging in toothpaste, organic soaps and oils, artisan cards and signs, or even farm-fresh vegetables, this place has it all. While I stopped in, I was able to talk to the owner, Kae Fisher, who was beyond welcoming and talked to my friend and I about the history of her store. Her mind is oriented in making any customer feel welcome and working with other community members to help grow Whitesburg which I found very compelling. The products in her store are one-of-a-kind and is in a prime location being in downtown Whitesburg so you have access to other shops. I would highly recommend stopping in for any need you may have so you can enjoy this unique place, but also interact with a sweet owner and understand the historical beauty to Whitesburg, Kentucky.
