Great scope of Clark County history. Well worth a visit. Isn't the Kentucky History Museum in Frankfort but interesting.

What a treasure! So much central Kentucky history is packed into 3 floors of a Victorian-era building. The collection of Civil War artifacts is pretty impressive. Other exhibits include agriculture, military history, Homer Ledford, Bell South, and more. Several rooms are devoted to the building's history as a hospital. The staff members are knowledgable and friendly, and guided tours are available at no extra cost. Admission is reasonable and the museum is easy to find in downtown Winchester. Well worth a visit!

This is great little museum, it has quite a bit of interesting tidbits of local information. I would suggest 2-4 hours to really browse and read exhibits. If possible try and catch one of the late evening single actor shows if possible, really great way to spend a evening.

This museum is great place to learn about the history of Clark County and Clark County's part in Kentucky history. The building is beautiful and was used as a clinic and a hospital. The top floor is dedicated to the hospital days. Displays dedicated to Clark County's presence in different conflicts with displays honoring those in the Civil War, WWII and others. A special exhibit to Harold G. Epperson who was a WWII hero and was awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor. I would recommend this museum to anyone interested in history and the history of this area.

It is a small museum but is packed with wonderful displays. The museum occupies three floors of the building. It is wonderful to know Winchester has such a rich history.
