This restaurant is one of my favorite places in the lower Flathead Valley to go and have breakfast or dinner. They have a Salmon Omelet that is absolutely wonderful!

This was a stop on the way to Kalispell, MT. It was a ways back off the main hwy, not hard to find. This is a beautiful lake with lots of birds. We saw a Bald Eagle, egrets and Canadian Geese. There is a nice easy trail that borders the shoreline that is also worth taking. The best event was the sunset. It seemed to last forever with the colors changing every second the sun was setting. This park gives Montana all the credit it deserves for being called Big Sky Country!!!

A hidden gem. Worth searching out. Best French toast. You will not need lunch after eating breakfast at this cute cafe

Just follow the signs to the state boat launch area and paddle around the lake. Many private house surround the lake so you have to watch out for motor boats. There are free PFDs available for the kids and a host.

This little cafe is always busy because it is so good and the prices are very reasonable. The breakfast menu is very expansive andincludes some very interesting selections. The portions are ample and the service is friendly and efficient. You can't go wrong at this local favorite.

This is a great alternative to other lakes or streams in the area that get too cold. Echo Lake is clean and beautiful, worth driving to. Also, this is on the way to Jewel Basin, a trailhead to awesome hiking trails.

During our MT vacation, we rented a boat and took family out on Echo Lake. It's not huge like small ocean they call Flathead (which is outrageously cool), but it was very enjoyable and quaint. Outside of a few small pieces of litter, it was very clean. We've been to many parks and lakes where we end up packing out bags of discarded refuse so it was nice to visit a clean park. One thing I thought was just too cool is they had a board by the dock with free loaner life jackets for kids. How cool is that? I've never seen that in a state park before and I think its a great program. Kudo's to MT State Parks for a life saving program! Outstanding!

It is a hidden gem and the homes in the area are charming. If you go, you have to stop in at the Echo Lake Cafe. It is crowded and there is usually a wait, but for good reason. Amazing food.I dare you to try and eat a "full Stack" of pancakes!!!!!

I have been going to echo lake every summer since before I could walk. It is an awesome place to vacation. The lake is very warm in july/august usually getting over 80F. It can get a lot of boat/waterski traffic in the summer months because it is a very popular vacation spot for us canadians. Exploring the lake you will find many calm coves with turtles sunbathing on logs. There is great largemouth bass fishing all around the lake as well as smaller perch for the kids to catch. Closeby is the town of bigfork and to the east are some great hiking trails in jewel basin. At night time the dry air combined with the high altitude and remote location away from city lights give stargazers an amazing treat. There are several rental properties available on the lake as well as campgrounds. You will need to book very early if you hope to get something in the peak season.

This is a unique dining experience located just east of Bigfork on the Swan Lake Hwy. They have outdoor seating during warm weather. Unique menu items and wonderful homemade goodies. Don't miss this! Get their early or you will have to wait, esp on the weekend. They are only open until 3pm

My wife raved about this place and since we were in the area we thought we would give it a try. We met the owner as we came in. Very friendly and the staff reflects that. Food was wonderful and fast. we were on the homebound leg of our trip and ts was a nice stop on the way.

Open only for breakfast and lunch, the cafe offers great service, friendly staff and good food at a reasonable price. they are open year round so summer can be a difficult to find seating.

We have been regulars for several years and always find their food, service, and ambience to be the best in the Valley. We usually order their giant pancake, which is delicious, and it is big enough for two. Add the raspberry/blueberry sauce for a real treat.
