Plotted out an afternoon trip through the backroads of central WV to see several covered bridges. Fun way to spend an afternoon in a new area. Map was easy to find on a web search engine. We found 5 of the 6 we had planned on. Seeing the bridges is half the fun. Being off the interstate and driving around the country side, stopping at small town stores, visiting with locals added to the enjoyment. West Virginia and Pennsylvania have quite a few covered bridges still standing. Of the 5 we saw 4 had been restored. The Bridge in Barrackville was the most interesting and a plaque states that it is most original.
