We were unable to go through, of course, but it was fun to see an amusement park from the 'old days.' My companion had visited it when she was a bit younger, and had pleasant memories of the wooden roller coaster and some of the rides. We could see a little...but it was January, after all.

I went to Marshall so I like sitting on the park & watching the barges. I usually have someone with me & it's not a place to be after dark.

Wow! What potential. This could be a gorgeous place. The problem is a flood wall system. If they could use a removable system during the spring, summer and fall and connect this to the University it would be 5 star all the way.

The park looks well maintained. There are walkways alongside the Ohio River. There are families, fishermen and people enjoying the scenery. It was a very pleasant place to see, walk and enjoy after dinner.

This is where a number of Huntington activities go on. It is also where the bums go when they are kicked out of the shelter at 7am. Soon there will be a skateboard park, which will be totally rad. I miss rib fest, which was my favorite Riverfront Park activity.

It was a sunny early April afternoon when I visited this park. It was obvious people were just getting their boats out for the season because they were all over the place on this weekend afternoon. There are plenty of trees and flowers. Places for kids to play and parents to gather. We found ourselves a place to just sit by the water and talk about all the things around us.It was a nice place to relax and take a break from touring the town and Marshall campus.
