The views from the top of the hike were so awesome!! But taking the ladder to the lower trail was so much more fun. When down below you truly understand why its called the endless wall trail!! I don't think most people verture down below and actually hike that trail. There are caves to go in and the next time I go I plan to venture in those caves.

A good walking / hiking trail that has several spectacular views of the Gorge. At one overlook I came across a climber unexpectedly. Her head just popped up over the cliff! Two parking areas, take the trail from the first parking area after turning off Rt 19 for the best views. The parking lot also has an outhouse for convenience.

The Endless Trail is just that BUT with some stellar views of the New River way below. Really nice points to photograph & a nice moderate hike. My only complaint would be the seemingly hundreds of gnats & I'd forgotten my bug spray but overall, totally awesome.

Wow the views from the top of this hiking trail are amazing! The hike isn't hard (no climbing up steep cliffs or up lots of stairs) so even kids could do it. At the top you can see the bridge, and the river below where all the rafts are, and all the cliffs. Best hike in the area!

This trail is awesome! It starts out very quiet with lots of greenery and landscaping but before you know it you're at the top of the trail overlooking the gorge, it's beautiful! For the adventurous there are ladders which take you down the wall were rock climbers tend to gather. We skipped this part of the hike, seemed a little too dangerous for us. The hike takes you back down a path very similar to the beginning of the hike. The only negative was that the end of the trail is in a parking lot about a half mile from where it started. You have to walk on the road to get back to your car, but the view made it worth it.

I walked several trails in this area over the weekend. They were all beautiful, but his was definitely my favorite. If you only have time to walk one trail, take this one!

This is a 1.1 mile hiking trail to the edge of the gorge...easily done by even the smallest hiker, though..some sheer cliffs and rocky edges make it a bit dangerous for kids...but, at the edge of that hike, is a hidden ladder, then a tunnel, then more ladders...these take you to a Gorge Wonderland of Rhododendrons and waterfalls...this is truly only for the very skilled..as there is rock scrambling and thin ledges galore....though from most spots I dont think you would die, you surely would get all broke up, and lets face it..the helicopter isnt getting to you...a good site to check out for this fun is http://www.rivermen.com/blog/entry/the-best-hike-ever.
