We finally got to see our first WVU basketball game. The parking was cheap and easy. Security check moves quickly. Our seats were up pretty high, but we could easily see everything. The energy in this place is great. We enjoyed the music and entertainment during half time and TV timeouts. Food selection and quality was excellent. I cringe when I hear that some people think this place should be torn down. It's so WVU! Stay until the very end for "Country Roads."

This is home to the old Gold and Blue's Basketball team! It's a pretty cool place! Also, some great music and other entertainment happens here.

The WVU Coliseum is a unique building which serves WVU for basketball games, volleyball, wrestling and gymnastics meets. The Coliseum seats 14,000 fans and has been open since 1970. Jerry West statue sits in front of the main entrance but where he played his college games was down the road from this building. It is a great place to walk indoors or outdoors and some classes are still held here. If you come visit Morgantown , stop in at the Coliseum as it is a unique building.

I have been here for multiple functions but the most recent was for a basketball game. The inside of the building is laid out well with plenty of walkway space and the seating is not too cramped. This building has some age to it, built in the mid 60's, and I am surprised they have not replaced it yet. The biggest problem here is the parking and traffic. There are only a couple points to enter/exit with a major intersection in front of it. Expect to wait going there and getting out. If you don't have a parking pass, expect to walk as well.

Parking is convenient and close - we were literally a stone's throw from the doors. Security was quick and efficient, and it's easy to find your seats. It was clean and refreshments were convenient.

We were in nose bleed seats but, still great view of the whole floor. We were center court and about 3 rows from the back of the upper level. Don't think there was a bad seat I the house.

The Coliseum is a pretty cool place! Whether you are there to see a women's basketball game, or concert it's always a fun time! Also a great place to park to watch the football game.

We went to see Old Crow Medicine Show and Avett Brothers here and it was pretty awesome. It had been a while since I had been here, but everyone working there was very nice and I just enjoyed the atmosphere. Of course the concert itself was amazing! I absolutely love both groups!

There is plenty of good free parking available at this site for the WVU home games. It costs only $4.00 for a roundtrip bus ticket to the stadium. The only admonition is that it is essential to get on line for the bus as quickly as possible after the game. We took a leisurely stroll to the bus line and had to wait more than an hour for the bus ride back to the Coliseum.

The arena is showing its age - no luxury boxes to be had here and that may eventualy make it in need of replacing. But there are GREAT sight lines everywhere....the students are given fantastic courtside seating rather than being vanquished to the baseline, and it is an easy and out from major roads. Catch a game here!

I love basketball at the Coliseum (Go 'Eers) but they are trying to kill us with the food. Huge pretzels, food long hot dogs, and nachos with nasty cheese that needs a fork lift to get to your seat. The halftime entertainment is to win heart clogging greasy Papa John's pizzas. And then there are ads on the Jumbotron of a fat fan having his life saved by a cardiologist at nearby Ruby Memorial where the WVU docs will ream out your clogged coronary arteries after the game. How about some fresh fruit or heart smart vegetable dishes or healthy juices? This is a University and there must be a nutritionist grad program they could consult. This is 2014 and not 1960 and we actually have learned what contributes to coronary artery disease.

I used to walk in the coliseum daily.... inside or outside. Mileage is marked. Restrooms for visitors and much sports memorabilia on display for all WVU sports. One can sit in the Coliseum and recharge before and after walking. All sporting event tickets are available in the inside of the Coliseum. Offices for the WVU teams are located here.

Liked the atmosphere. Limited bathroom facilities. Mountaineer fan sitting next to me could not stop eating his nachos during the National Anthem....classless.

We had heard how rude the fans at WVU were. NOT SO! These people are some of the nicest fans we have met any place. They are willing to help you anyway they can. Super nice.
