Hiking, pool, hot tubs, spa, Segway, shopping, Christmas decorations, buffets, sports lounge, golf in season; nature center; canoe and boating in season, big Adirondack Loggy Lobby and great roaring fireplace....also quiet things like reading, free papers, family organized crafts (EXTRA FEE), toy train exhibit; indoor gift shop and Christmas store; all great Winter fun! Beautiful place to get snowed-in at this Inn! One of the best West Virginia State Parks, if not THE best.

Camping, hotel, water sports, golf - they have it all. Cute little shops, nice coffee bar, Muskies bar is great. Really wanted to swim in the indoor/outdoor pool but didn't have time!

This a part of the hotel, and has everything you can think of, from indoor/outdoor pool, boats of all types, bikes to ride the property, small children's play room, and schedule family activities.

This was a very disappointing experience. The resort facility is very nice but the customer service is severely lacking. The staff stood around talking to each other instead of helping us. Our friends made reservations for three rooms but was never told that most of the recreational facilities were closed. The food in the restaurants were either tasteless or came to our table cold instead of hot. For the money we paid for the rooms, we expected to get the same service as other four star resorts. This one falls way short. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone that is used to getting top notch service at other resorts.

Golf, fishing, boating, Segway tours, indoor/outdoor pool, hot tub, spa, nature trails and that's just a few of the recreational activities available at Stonewall Resort and may of them are included in the price of your room.

Stonewall Resort is set on a lake and includes a hotel, spa, several restaurants, golf course and activities such as biking, boating, hiking, and an indoor/outdoor pool. It is a nice place for a family getaway with the indoor/outdoor pool, biking, and smores around the fire pit at night. It is also an excellent golf destination. The golf course is a nice sprawling Arnold Palmer course that works around some of the water inlets and involves hills. One nice feature is the electronic golf carts that have screens that allow you to log your score, show the hole layout, yards to the hole, etc. While golfing, it is not unusual to see deer run across the course. It can also be challenging to hit over the trees and avoid going off the fairway - in other words, take extra balls, you'll probably need them. Make sure you book your reservation to golf in advance (in case there is a large group/outing already there). You can also book your reservation online. Before or after golf, there is a nice restaurant (Lightburn's) attached to the clubhouse which has an amazing view of the resort and lake that serves lunch and dinner as well as has a bar. It is also a great place to go for lunch or dinner if you are staying at the resort. Once again, make reservations because I have seen people turned away without them on weekends. There is also an outdoor deck to sit on to enjoy your drinks. I saw that this restaurant closes late October over the winter except for private parties, but there is another nice restaurant down at the resort. The golf course is also not open year around, but they have some off season times and specials, so make sure you check their schedule. The resort also runs golf or spa specials, but also book up on weekends especially due to weddings.

I stayed at the Stonewall Resort for two nights, July 22nd and 23rd, 2014. The reason I stayed there was primarily for the golf course, which I will review separately. I am single, and the nightly cost including taxes and the nightly resort fee was just over $180 per night. I have stayed at other golf resorts before. For that kind of money I expect new furnishings (that was in evidence) and a wide selection of TV channels and a microwave and fridge in the room. There were very few TV channels and NO microwave and fridge in the room!! I did have a fairly nice view of the lake from my room, but I care less about that than most folks would. And we needed (I spoke with a few other guests in my corridor, and they agreed with me) a guide dog to get back and forth to the front desk. And the restaurants there were all VERY pricey. This is a resort for families who want to be active outside and who have lots of money.

Watching the sun come up over the mountains and lake is breathtaking, best seen from the adirondak chairs overlooking the lake or from the outdoor pool.

Planned activities such as concerts, cocktail seminars, smores around the fire pit. Or venture off on your own with a hike, bike, camping, boating, or golf.

Our family had the most amazing time at Stonewall. A hidden gem in WV 20,0000 acre wood. We had something to do everyday. From biking, to hiking, to canoeing. We finished each night by the fire with our smores kit. My "child" is 19 and said she had a great time. Thank you for providing a great family time for us!! We'll be back for more.
