My wife and I went to Shepherdstown to do some holiday shopping. We came here last year also. The store has American made crafts and goods. Some local, some not. The selection is always interesting from the functional to the stuff that is just fun to have or give as a gift. The staff is friendly and the store itself is open and airy. The prices can be a little high, but you are supporting artists and craftsmen. It's worth a look.

Stopped in this little gallery on a beautiful sunny day as I was heading north from North Carolina. What a lovely little shop. They sell the most beautiful, elegant and unique gifts. The staff person was very pleasant and kind, and visiting this little town was a very memorable experience!

I'm not a big travel shopper. There are plenty of great shops where I live, with all manner of gifts and tchotkes you can buy--but this gift shop has some truly unique--without being um, gloppy--items. A nice place to pick up some sweet gifts for friends and family back home, and just a nice place to drop in.
