Seeing the fish and animals is the only reason we go here. Their camping section is 1/10th the size of the gun or fishing section and their prices are horrid. Everything we looked at was much cheaper on amazon or Walmart.com.

This Cabela's is a normal stop for us when we're at the Highlands, even if there's nothing special that we're looking for. They have something for everyone, 3 different animal exhibits, plus their mountain, a restaurant, a candy shop, a guns library and lots of it's to shop. Besides, the store is large enough that even if you're just looking for a place to walk off lunch, you can do so in comfort here. And who know's, you might just find something neat that you just can't do without :-)

The Crew: 3 Guys...2 in their 40's and one as old as dirt. The Good: African Safari mounts that I haven't seen at other Cabela's made it worth stopping in for. Nice walk-through aquarium. Not overly crowded with fish and not a giant variety...more of a 'natural' setting. There was a conceal and carry sign-up area and NRA signup the day we went...nice touch. The store was out of an advertised item and gave a similar upgraded item the sale price. Good selection of rifles and hand-guns. Awesome statue at the outside entrance. The Bad: Not nearly as big as the South Charleston store it seems and not as many mounts throughout. I'm never really sure about the pricing at these places. Even the 'deals' seem a bit high....but if you go to look at the critters and need something I guess you might as well buy it there as a courtesy.

I always try to stop by this store when I'm in the area. I'm a hunter/fisherman so I go to shop, but even if you aren't, it is definitely worth seeing. These older stores have muses quality wildlife displays and aquariums that are unbelievable.

Cabela's is high quality outdoor gear, but this store is also a show. There is the Whitetail room with lots of deer mounts and well as African animals. The walk-through aquarium is great for the kids.

We were at Cabela's on 12/20 --our 4 yr old grandson loved the animal displays--African area--he loved the Elephant. And the Mountain Goats, Buffalo, Deer, Bear were fabulous. He loved the special Deer -Buck- room and the kids' shooting range on the second floor. Just a great place to take the boys of all ages. Our daughter is from Maryland and she plans to come back here again.

If you've been in one, you've been in all. It's hunters' and fishermans' heaven. Prices aren't that great even stuff on the sale rack. Impressive display of animals. Kids will enjoy seeing those animals.

We visited this store recently (not our first visit) and as usual spent several hours shopping for ourselves and for family gifts. This is the place for hunting and fishing gear, but also clothing and shoes. Always check out the bargain cave and the aquarium. The store is always clean, well organized and has helpful employees. We always look forward to shopping here.

We visited this store with our toddler granddaughter. Honestly, we are not outdoorsy but this store is like a field trip for little ones! There are lots of things to shop for besides hunting, fishing, etc. We were there for about 2 hours and enjoyed lunch upstairs! We visit family in the area so we will be visiting again!

Cabelas Store: Regina Saskatchewan, CanadaDate/Time of visit: Nov. 09 2014 - 4:30PMMy worst experience in a retail store. During the time of visit, I was standing in FRONT of three female Cabela's employees. Approx 5 feet away from them!... they were just talking to each other and does not even bother to ask if I need any help. I am 100% sure I am not invisible. One of the employee's name is Tyne (or very close to that name). I do not want to be rude to interrupt them so I just let them talk to each other for a while. After a few minutes, I politely say "excuse me" to get their attention. Then that is the only time Tyne asked what she can do for me. I was looking for an item in the flyer and she replied that the item was sold out and just walked away.If they don't want working in retail then don't work in Cabela's. My family love the store but with those kind of service then it might take some time before our next visit. There are other outdoor stores in the city where you can get excellent products too. And employees are much more friendly and knowledgeable.Again, customer service is TERRIBLE but the store is very good.

I've been here several times. I fish quite a bit - including fly fishing. They have a big selection of gear. Also the displays are great. Staff is knowledgeable on the equipment. This trip they had a scavenger hunt for the kids. All the kids got a string pack with all kinds of goodies. They also like looking at the aquarium and mounts through out the store. The shooting gallery was a big hit too. Definitely allow several hours to explore the store.

This store has everything you need for outdoor activities, It also has sveral interesting displays, a live aquiarium, a electonic shooting gallery, and a place to grab a quick bite. If you like the outdoors it is worth the stop, Just remember as much as this store has attractions its main function is a retail store,
