They could have more signs telling you where to go, which direction and how many miles. We drove for about 5 miles on a back road, thinking we were lost but kept driving anyways and there it was in the middle of no where..... also they could use more animals.

i have been here several times, and will be going back over and over again! i love how personal the experience is. it is a unique place, where you are very close to the animals. some you can even feed. ever fed a grizzly bear? you can here!

Excellent little zoo in the middle of nowhere. I know that some people may find it unacceptable to have baby lions and tigers on display for photographs, but the animals were born into captivity in the first place, and I believe that human interaction benefits them.

had a nice variety of animals - some you could feed peanuts that you buy when getting your tickets - our girls favorite was the baby tiger - though if you wanted your picture taken with it (or a baby kangaroo) it was expensive. Only took about 1 to 1.5 hours to see.

We have made several visits to the Perry Wildlife Zoo and it is always a rewarding experience. There is always a few new animals and some "old-friends" on hand to delight children of all ages (even us sixty-somethings). The highlight of this trip was a young grizzly bear named Bruno who was getting a good hosing down on a fairly warm day and having the time of his life! It was really neat to watch the young bear (only 350-400 lbs.) playing in the water and putting on quite a show for the audience. If you are in the area, the short drive out of the way is well worth the effort and small admission charge.

Love taking trip here each year to see the new animals.

Who would have believed that you could find a Zoo in Wardensville, WV--But you can! Located 9 miles from the town, it is a easy drive. There are a variety of animals including, Bear, Deer, Rabbit and several others. The kids will love it. You can purchase a small cup of nuts in the old country store to feed them. The country store is very old and has a history all it's own. You can buy a soda and candy bar, but not much more. Call before making plans to visit; they are only open about 7 months each year.
