This is a historic site that is well hidden in the backwoods, on the edge of the border between Texas and Louisiana. It displays a marker of the original boundary between the Republic of Texas and the Louisiana Purchase. The old survey dates back to 1840 and there is only one remaining marker of its kind. It is a well marked site that was established by the United States government.
