the frem boustany center used to be called the municipal auditorium....it was redone years ago and is really a treat to attend venues at.

My wife and I have enjoyed several concerts in this auditorium. I can assure you that there is not a bad seat in the house. Acoustics are top notch. Seats are comfortable, with plenty of leg room and easy ingress/egress. We're always looking forward to the next evening of 1st class music or entertainment, offered by The Heymann and PASA.

The auditorium was redone several years ago and it now has continental style seating (no aisles down the middle, you enter through the sides). When they made this change they installed very comfortable seats and also increased the leg room in the orchestra section of the venue. The sound quality throughout the building is excellent. While I will keep secret the areas where the sound is the very best, I will say that soundwise there re is not a bad seat in the house. For viewing purposes I much prefer downstairs over the balcony, but if the balcony is the only place you can get a seat it is not bad.The ballroom is very large and by the standards of buildings this age it is very nice. It is rather plain, but Heymann staff is great about helping you decorate for large events. In my opinion the balls that were held in the Heymann Center were much nicer than the balls currently held in the Cajun Dome, or even in the Cajun Dome Convention Center.
