If you are in the Coffeeville, Ks. area or make a special trip to tour the Brown Mansion. You will receive a guided tour that is full of great facts about the family and mansion. The last family member died in 1973 and the home furnishings are just as they were then. An amazing collection of period furniture. The Mansion is beautiful as are the grounds. A real look at the life of a very rich Kansas family.

Recently my Red Hat Chapter visited the Brown Mansion in Coffeeville Ks. The curator who gave us the tour entertained us with so many stories of the family as well as giving us the history of the mansion and it's contents. She even showed us how Charlie the family butler does not like the light turned out in the basement room that he slept in. It's a great place to tour and when that is over, go into town and visit the Dalton Bros. Museum and have lunch at one of the lovely historical diners and taverns.
