This destination was an unknown compromise between members of our far flung family. It was roughly equidistant for most of our members and we found a house big enough for all of our family thru VRBO. What and extremely pleasant compromise. The lake itself is quite large and pristine. The area is quite pretty and the perfect setting for families of all ages. The are has several good choices for restaurants and is close enough to several towns that offer many, many more choices from fast food to Gourmet. Many small islands and even an Island called Goat Island which was a huge attraction for the kids.

This is one of the best camping experiences I've had. The campsite we had , had a boat dock, fishing deck, water spout, electric, grill, picnic table, garbage can, and lots of room for tents. The space was huge and plenty of space between campsites. We had sites 4 and 5. We took our friends boat out for tubing and wake boarding. The lake was 85 feet deep at the deepest spot. But shallow near our dock for our kids to swim and catch minnows and frogs. $17 a day for the site. The office has no supplies so bring all your food. There is a corner shop up the road about a mile or two that has a good amount of sundries and camp gear/ bait. This site was close to the bathrooms and shower. They are old and run down , but hey, it's camping, so we didn't mind. Overall we had a great time and I recommend it.
