I played Blackberry Trail golf course for the first time on May 17,2014 with my friends. We come down to Alabama in the spring and fall to play golf. We usually tent camp and play golf for three days. This time we camped at Joe Wheeler state park. Blackberry Trail is a challenging course and very well maintained. Green fees are around $25.00 for seniors and $30.00 for everybody else. It is well designed and beautiful with swans swimming in the lakes. There is many holes with water hazards and sand traps. Take a trip to Florence Alabama and play Blackberry Trail

I play here often, and the pictures shown aren't even close to what this place looks like. The pictures are all from several miles away from the course. The course is a mixture of links feel and common course. The pricing is usually around $30 to ride 18, so it is very reasonable. There are several other course within 15 minutes of Blackberry Trail, including the RTJ of the Shoals (double the price) that are better, but for convenience and price, this is a nice place to play.I actually live on #6 tee box and have played it often and will return!

I really enjoy this golf course. The Pros: The different sets of tees offer a different golf experience, the price is reasonable, the staff is friendly. The cons: some of the greens are too close together, on certain mornings there is a large group of senios who go out and they will not let anyone play through but these are minor quibbles. I recommend this course for a fun day of golf. (If you play from the tips, it is very challenging)

I have played golf many times at this beautiful matured golf course and everyone is always so friendly. The greens and fairways are manicured and its always a delight to play here.

decently priced municipal course with below average firm greens and fairways. The layout leaves a lot to be desired. The one interesting piece on the course is an old civil war graveyard on the front nine.
