My husband and I visited Blue Pants this week and the beer was great. He had an IPA and I tried the Strawberry Saison. The patio area was great. Very nice landscaping, seating, and games to play. Definitely worth a stop in to grab a beer and some dinner from a food truck!

Found this place online by accident and was sitting in their beer garden 30 minutes later. Excellent location, excellent feel to the place and the staff is personable and friendly. On Wednesday I arrived to find a bagpipe band serenading the beer...I later learned they practice there every week but the experience was unique. On Thursday night we arrived to find a fella playing old favorites on his guitar and belting out tunes on his harmonica. So, as far as the beer goes, I didn't care for the Peach IPA or the Strawberry thing I had last night but I'm going back to try more. This place could end up being my spot, locals and visitors alike should come check it out.

Micro breweries are fairly new to the Huntsville area, and there was plenty of opportunity for some of them to get off on the wrong foot. Blue Pants has done a GREAT job....not too big, not too small, and some VERY good beers. BEST part is the very friendly atmosphere at their tasting room. The people are nice, happy to talk about their beers, your tastes AND the other local breweries. Honestly, one of the BEST things about Blue Pants is the tone that they and the others have set in regards to each other. They all seem to compliment, help and work WITH not against each other. Sure I'll try the others, but I like the positive, upbeat attitude that Blue Pants and the others have about ALL the new local micro breweries in our area, and I give Blue Pants great credit for creating that atmosphere. BTW ...their new Spare Pair is my current favorite, but...there aren't any bad ones!

I tried eight of their beers over the course of two evenings (just little samples, I swear) and they were all great. How many times can you make a claim like that?? They were all different, but they were all great. The Workman Common was floral with a hint of orange; Pinstripe was dark with a roasted coffee note; the Spare Pair Pale Ale was bitter and hoppy, like an IPA; the Breeches ESB was more malty; and the Highwater Hoppy Tripl was just amazing -- dry and rich, with a whiskey-like edge and a long finish. There were more, but you get the picture. The view through to the brewing room is fun, and there's an outside area with music some nights. The food from the food truck is much better than you'd expect. I can't wait to go back!

I was in the area for work and decided to stop in and check it out. The building is neat if you like breweries, with a view of the actual viewer through windows from the bar. There is also a nice grassy outside area with tables and a stage. They told me they have music there on weekends, if I recall correctly. They offered four 4-ounce tasting glasses for the same price as a pint. I did two rounds of this, so I got to try eight of their beers. I enjoyed all of them. I recommend popping in for a beer or five. They don't have a kitchen, but they bring in local restaurants that offer boxed meals. It varies by night. I had a sample of what was being served when I was there and enjoyed it.
