Too many travelers whiz by Mooresville and never realize what they have missed. Take a few minutes to exit into history. In just a few minutes you can see a small Alabama village that will take you back. There is not really much to do in Mooresville but to ride through the quiet streets and lanes and just soak up the sights and to imagine what it was like 150 years ago. Its a really cool little place not to be missed for a few minutes' detour if you like history.

The town that time forgot... a wonderful place to just walk and enjoy. Especially nice in the early evening.

Mooresville is a very quaint historic community. Most of the buildings are private residences. It is very easy to feel like you have traveled back 100 years as you walk around the beautiful community which is sort of a hidden gem right off of the interstate.

This is a rare town that exists and operates today much as it did 150 years ago. Nearly all of the houses are preserved as they were, as are the post office, church & tavern. There is nothing commercial about it, and nothing touristy. It is simply a beautiful town whose inhabitants choose to preserve their environment steeped in history. Great for a quick drive-thru or walkabout.
