The tour was about 40 minutes There were about 20 people in our group. It started with a short video and then our group walked a short distance to see a display of all the flavors that they make. We continued the tour by looking through large windows down into where the ice cream was being packaged. The highlight was having an ice cream treat at the end of the tour. Would be good for kids.

The place was very clean and well organize. The employee that was working was very nice. I will talke my kids here again.

The tour was informative, giving a history of the Blue Bell company and showed the processes of making the ice cream. At the end of the tour you also got a sample of the ice cream.

Very hard to find. No signs, had to call for directions. We did not get to see much. Watched a short video. Looked in two windows on the one hall tour and saw the people working below. We did receive a cup of ice cream.

The tour was led by a very nice employee, but it was a bit lack luster. The tour price was $3 per person, but it could use additional exhibits or a visitor's center. Vanilla ice cream tastes the best.

We had a blast on the tour. I have a 9 and 11 year old which enjoyed the experience. The movie was the 11 year olds favorite part and the processing of the cookies and cream ice cream was the 9 year Olds favorite. It wasn't a very long tour but fun and the tour guide was very knowledgeable about her job. The tour is handicapp accessible. The cost was 10.00 for 2 parents and 2 kids. After the tour you cash your tokens in for free ice cream. If you would like 2nd then you can go back for 2nd for only.50. It was a fun and educational couple of hours.

Was interesting but borish. They don't allow pictures anywhere which is a shame because the parlor is beautiful. Souvenir shop is outrageously priced!!!Must make appointment for tour which is odd but okay... a good experience just nothing like our experience at Ben & Jerry Creamery in Vermont.

Interesting. ..and you get the best ice cream in the world when tour is completed. People come from far and near to this tour. Company takes pride in everything they do.

Call ahead for reservations and enjoy this informative and enjoyable tour. The cost is low, and after looking through very clean windows at the gleaming steel machinery where ice cream is made and packages you can have a big serving of the flavor of your choice at the charming ice cream shop in the plant. Everyone receives an old-fashioned ice cream cap, adjustable to accommodate a range of head sizes, A well-made video described the history of the company, and the tour guide explained the manufacture, packing and distribution of present-day products. Participants can ask questions and have them answered cogently. There is a gift shop called, but bearing little resemblance to, "the country store". While we were watching one of the phases of the operation a flood of thick white ice cream flowed out of the top of a tank and onto the floor. I waved and yelled until an employee on the floor below looked up and waved back. Despite the objections of my teen-aged daughter I kept waving and pointing until the man saw the problem, alerted co-workers, and the valves were shut off, the area hosed down, and the difficulty isolated.

We enjoyed our guided tour and the delicious ice cream treat in the parlor that followed. Our guide Aretha McKinney was especially "sweet." Gift shop had a nice variety of kid-friendly items.

It's just good ice cream, plain and simple and there are numerous varieties to choose from so you're not stuck with just vanilla, chocolate, or strawberry

My husband and I recently visited the creamery. We had an excellent time! It was a lovely drive to Sylacauga, and the factory tour was really neat. We watched a video that covered the history of the Blue Bell Company, and then took a tour overlooking the factory. After the tour, we got to eat ice cream!!! ...which influenced us to stop at our local grocer on the way home to purchase ice cream! This really was a fun, quick, and friendly-priced tour. We're still talking about it, and we'd love to see their other creameries. Highly recommended.
