the beer selection is limited, the food was pretty good, but the atmosphere was great. it's one of those places that everyone should visit at least once. we took the taxi/truck down to the saloon but walked back out. we enjoyed the walk out better, but take the taxi is it's cold or raining. our server was good and attentive, and the prices were acceptable. we were there for lunch, but I suspect that the atmosphere changes at night. I'd go back again

This was a very naturally unique place to dine. the cave is cool and when it rains, there is a water fall coming down the side. Good ride for motorcyclist who like to ride and eat!!

For us, who lives 150 miles away, it was worth the drive to see one time. The setting is very unique and one of a kind. Enjoyed the taxi ride to the saloon in the back of a pick up. Places to walk around and enjoy scenery or just relax. Restaurant had seating inside or outside, we sat inside due to the first cold snap of the season the day of our visit. Food was ordinary burger/chicken finger type. Husband really enjoyed his "Duke" burger. It had bacon and snake eyes *friend jalapenos" on it. My burger, I will have to say, wasn't that tasty. Seemed the meat wasn't seasoned well at all. I had "The Rustler". Fried Pickles "Bronco Bits' were good. This would be a cool place to visit in the summer because the cave would offer natural coolness. We do recommend checking it out.

Our family took us to the Rattlesnake Saloon for lunch when we were in town visiting. It was a very unique place - a cave for lunch! The food was very good, the service was good and the atmosphere very neat. There were trees all around and a trail to explore. Bring a sweater if you tend to be chilly or chose to eat inside the dining room at the end of the cave.

This place is pretty cool, especially if it is your first time. It's a rustic saloon in a cave with good music, food, and cold beer. The only downfall is that some of the employees are horrible. I am really surprised to see some of their attitudes towards the public. Rude. It's amazing to think they actually can keep a job with the attitudes and service they offer. If some of the employees were gone or had their attitudes adjusted, then this place would be perfect.

We heard about this place from a local resident, who said the kids would love it because it's inside a cave. He was right - it really is a cool location for a restaurant. Very unique, and a fun setting for lunch with the kids. Finding it was a bit of a challenge, but not too much trouble. Our GPS got us close, but the parking lot was about a mile past where the GPS marked our destination. We didn't see any signs for the restaurant when we turned off the main highway, which had us a little concerned since the GPS sent us down a narrow windy road seemingly to the middle of nowhere. Once we found the parking lot, we also weren't sure if we were in the right place. It's a big dirt lot that looks more like a farm, but we saw a lot of cars and motorcycles (this apparently is a popular stop for bikers) and saw the Rattlesnake Saloon sign. When we got out of our car, a Rattlesnake Saloon Taxi (a pickup truck with bench seats in the back) was waiting for us. Not knowing how far the ride was, we jumped in. It turns out the ride is only about 300 yards. The first 200 yards is flat (across the parking lot), and the last 100 yards is down a fairly steep dirt road. An easy walk for most, but if you have any difficulties walking on inclines or uneven surfaces, I suggest you catch a ride. The setting is really incredible. We were there for a late lunch on a Saturday, and there was a decent crowd. No wait for a table, but busy. The service was fast and friendly, but the food was average at best. It is well worth the trip to see the setting, but I suggest you eat something small and wait to get some good food somewhere else. I gave it 4 stars only because of the setting, otherwise I would have given it 2-3. Although it suited us just fine for lunch with the kids, it looks like a great place to go at night with the adults for some drinks and live music.

July 11, 2014. An outdoor venue so bug spray is a must. Flies on the food were abundant. We are seniors so footing was not the best. The one man entertainment Friday evening was excruciating loud. Quite unnecessary with the natural shell of the rock formation stage. Saturday afternoon two sweet singers (My Brothers Sister) were fabulous and much more pleasant to listen to. That aside, temperatures in the lower treed area was quite nice and about ten degrees cooler. Other than the food and drink, not much else. It is a restaurant destination. We both had salad with chicken on it and it was three small lumps of dark chicken about the size of a quarter on wilted lettuce from the center of the head...nothing else in the salad at all. My husband's burger was dry and the fries were saturated with grease...obviously no one trained the cook to wait for the oil to come back up to temperature before dropping something in the fryer! We did not eat them. Hiked back to the far waterfall which was rainwater dripping from rocks overhead..You can be driven down a steep rock road to the restaurant in a pick up truck or you can hike the many stairs and stone road. There are rails to tie up your horses which several did right near where we were sitting and the horses pee right next to you. So, if you are used to "saloon" atmosphere; it is okay.

It was okay. I liked the sights, but the people were rude. I liked the silos, and the beautiful cave! The workers weren't the nicest though...... I could also smell alcohol on the "taxi" driver's breath, which I know isn't safe. The food wasn't that good either. The owner seemed nice, too. I liked the sights, and the nature of it, but not the people and food....

A very uunique experience in the middle of no where. We journeyed down to the Saloon to enjoy music, food and drinks (beer/soda only, no liquor). After closing the place down we cought the ride up to our Silo rooms (nicely set-up for a silo-easily sleeps 8). Excellent view of the stars and moon. Neat farm athmosphere. Hung around the pool with some strangers that were having fun too! Lots to do!

Never heard of this place, stumbled across it's mention somewhere yesterday after having watched the documentary on Muscle Shoals music on Netflix. Certainly didn't know what to expect except that the term "underground" probably meant it was in a basement. We arrived at 1130 to find some bikers pulling into what looked like a farm or stables business. Suddenly a pickup emblazened with Rattlesnake Saloon Taxi pulled up driven by a man who cant be a day under 90 years old. At this point I'm a bit leery thinking we're about to have our organs harvested or something but I ordered the kids in and off we went. Very quickly we were on a muddy dirt road heading straight down to the Saloon which turns out to be one of the coolest locations for a restaurant I've ever been to. Absolutely loved it. The prices were not too crazy and the Saloon won't sell beer until 5 pm, presumably to keep it family friendly in daylight hours. The service was ok, nobody was out and out rude. The food was terrible, I think the frying oil is bad. If I had to do it again I'd order a burger and a salad, nothing from the fryer. None of us could finish our meals it was so bad. Still, the location is amazing so if we find our way back there we might stop in for a soda.

My family and I went to the Rattlesnake Saloon after hearing great reviews about it. It was a very unique experience. It is a bit of a drive off of the main highway; but, well worth the drive. We pulled up into the parking area and there was a truck waiting to take us down the hill to the restaurant. You step up into the back of a pickup truck with benches on each side for the short ride down the hill to the restaurant. The restaurant is not very large on the inside; but, it does have several tables inside. They had a lot of large tables outside the restaurant inside the cave. The waitresses were very friendly and provided great service. The food is very reasonably priced also. The Rattlesnake Saloon is definitely worth the trip.

A new, "old Wild West" saloon in a cave! Not too wild, though, because it is family friendly. They serve tavern food--hamburgers, fries, salads, onion rings, etc.. I had the Rustler burger which was good but BIG---couldn't finish it. They have live music and you can ride your horse down to it until 5. After 5, they start serving beer (beer only, no wine, liquor). You park above in a field area near the stables and walk down---short, but steep walk---or take the Saloon taxi which is a big truck with wooden benches in the back. Dancing and good times by all from the very young to the grandmas! I cannot wait to go back with my mom and children. It even rained while we were there but that only made it more of an adventure! There is a "lodge" too, but we did not get information on it.

We rode up on the bike, had a blast. This is a must see place. You can either take the cowboy taxi to the saloon (the back of a pick up with bench seats) or walk. We chose to walk. It was so interesting. We did not eat but the food smelled good and the people around us said it was good. We will go back.

Very nice afternoon spent under the shade of a huge boulder with friends. Watched people riding horses. Staff very nice.

We enjoyed our night here immensely! It was such a cool experience to eat and listen to good country music in a cave, with a small waterfall splashing nearby. This is a family friendly place, although beer is served. Lots of kids dancing with parents and having a great time. There's also a small indoor dining area if you prefer. The tables fill up fast, so arrive early. Music starts around 6:30. The food was good, basic diner fare, but we were served quickly and our meals arrived hot and tasty. We just loved the Rattlesnake and can't wait to go back!
