We took my niece there and everyone - especially my one year old niece - had a great time. It offers something for a wide range of age groups and event he adults have fun watching and playing too

I've taken children of all ages to this museum. The preschoolers love Biscuit's Backyard where they can play at a giant water table, "dig" potatoes or pull ears of corn from the garden, check under the sitting hens for eggs, pretend to mild the cow, play in the barn, explore the secret hiding places in the fort, play shop keeper or shopper at the store or sort mail at the post office. They can also play with puppets or finger puppets in this area. After Christmas we took three preschoolers and they played in this one area alone for HOURS! Little ones love the protected area for crawlers only.Children who are a little bit older will love the talking tree, the talking clock (both of these could be a little frightening to very young ones) and the dress up area in the Federal House. There is a General Store, a life-sized keel boat that is docked along the riverside and a building area (Kidstruction) where Legos and other construction toys are available. This museum has a snack/vending area where you can eat, but no restaurant. It is part of a 3 museum complex which includes Alabama Constitution Village and the Huntsville Depot. All three history museums are entertaining as well as educational and well worth a visit! For those who are in Huntsville in late November and December, Santa's Village is open during the evenings from Thanksgiving to Christmas and is a very popular attraction for children during the holiday season.

Liked the interactiveness of the exhibits and found it rather entertaining while with my grandkids ages 9 and 11 - they might have been a bit old to really get the most out of it, but they made 3 hours fly by us pretty fast - so, I do recommend this for the little ones.

This is a very good museum for children with much hands on. Some large gatherings are also held there.

My grandchild loved her day here! Several activities called her back time and again. The costumes and hands-on activities kept her engaged, curious, and busy for three hours! Quite a feat in this day and time.

The Children's Museum was so cute! A don't-miss spot for anyone with young children. Allow at least 2 hours.

The good thing about this place is that your ticket includes the Huntsville Train Museum and Constitution park. We went to the train station and it was top knotch! Very cool. This place was ok but could do with more variety we didn't stay very long.

I think this place offers some great experience to our younger generation. Best for ages 8 and under. My granddaughter was outgrowing by age eight. She still wanted to go, but they really didn't have anything for her past that age at the time. She dressed her Grandpaw up like Daniel Boone and got to feed him at the table...fake foods. LOL!

Our little girl totally enjoyed this place and we will be returning on our next trip to Huntsville. It is a great place for the kids to learn through play. It was a very fun.

Learn something new about your state from talking trees and learn from walk thru groups. Went with a school tour and had a blast!

Lots of fun and learning for kids my 8-13 son and daughter both enjoyed it. Fun walk thru group learning on each area tons for younger kids with activities areas and taking trees and clocks with faces.

This museum was recommended on every tourism website, Huntsville Welcome Center, motel info stands and even the Redstone Arsenal visitors packet. Coupons can be picked up at the Huntsville Welcome Center but we opted instead to purchase a Year Pass for $85 that gets us in to the Depot and Village too. The museum is a kids museum. As an adult I enjoyed some of the displays but most of it is geared towards youth. From my estimation it's best for kids aged 4-10. My kids are a little older and stayed engaged throughout their visit but did not appear to enjoy themselves as much as the younger kids. There is a small cafe inside, a gift shop, bathrooms and blessedly cool A/C. If you have kids, take them here.

We travel 4+ times a year for business & always bring our son so are well versed in children's museums. This one was different in a good way since it focused on Alabama's history. Fun AND informative! My son (3 years old) LOVED the pretend grocery store in Biscuits Play Area. WARNING: they DO NOT have a restaurant/ cafe.

Have been here so often with my kids and grandkids over the years. Always a fun place and also a learning place....but don't tell your kids!!!

I consider myself an expert when it comes to judging the quality of children's museums. I have been to a lot, and I've found that no matter how nice the exhibits are, if the musical instruments are strewn about in the kitchen and the construction tools have all been thrown in the water play, it's hard to enjoy it. This place has several beautiful exhibits that I felt captured my children's interest and were accessible to their limited skill sets. But most importantly, it was kept clean and organized by a small army of employees and volunteers. It was an absolutely delightful way to spend our morning in Huntsville.
