Lots of interesting sites to see and stores to peruse! Really enjoyed all of the post-Mardi Gras decorations.

The area is not what it once was but has some great eateries and is an easy walk from the Battle House Renaissance! Particularly I highly recommend Wentzells Oyster House! Some real quaint shops, hope it can fill its buildings once again! Unlike New Orleans this area was very safe!

On Monday afternoon after the Mardi Gras we walked down Dauphin Street to look for lunch. There are allot of stores, resturants and bars. We were focusing on resturants which we decided on Mama's which was great. There were allot of building being renovated during our stay in Mobile. This street has allot of history and potential. Also, don't forget to stop by the park close by. It has beautiful old oak trees an a amazing fountain.

If you visit Mobile, you should definitely visit Dauphin Street. It is a mini Bourbon Street. It has lots of restaurants and bars. It is great for people watching. I visited during Mardi Gras and would love to return again soon.

Dauphin street encompasses a wide variety of venues. Everything from breakfast, lunch, mid-level dinning to decent after hours cocktails.... The only thing is that Mobile needs to promote this a bit. I only found this street by accident during a mid-morning hike.

Dauphin Street has a number of restaurants ranging from charming dives (Mothers) to ambitious white table cloth operations (Noja). There are also a large number of establishments more noted for their drinking possibilities than their dining options: everything from craft cocktails at the Haberdasher to an incredible selection of craft beers on tap at the Loda Bier Garten.. Also, about a dozen art galleries from all ranges of the spectrum. All walkable, or by use of the pedicabs. All in all, a delightful place to spend an afternoon or evening.

I took a day trip to Mobile by myself, one full day was enough time for me to see everything in the down town area it's all pretty close together. I parked and walked down dolphin street for about a mile. There were lots of little specialty shops ,lots of dining, a small theater and I think I saw a couple of bars. It was a nice lively area.

Walking down Dauphin St gives one plenty of options to appease an appetite. My favorites are Buck's Pizza, Hero's, Downtowners, Mostly Muffins, Panini Pete's and Mediterranean Sandwich Co.

Ate at Buck's Pizza 350 Dauphin St. This was a business dinner with 6 total guests. very good pizza, reasonable prices and great service. A nice atmosphere to relax and hang out.

We walked through Dauphin street early in the morning, 8 AM, and very little was open. There appeared to be some interesting shops but there were a lot of shut down shops too and some had been trashed fairly well too. Might be more interesting on a Friday night or during full swing Mardi Gras season.

This was our second time to ring in the New Year in Mobile!!! We had a wonderful time. The people are always so friendly & helpful! We were disappointed that they did not have a parade this year, but Evelyn "Champagne" King & the Village People were both amazing! !!! We will back!!!!!!!

Walked down the street after visiting church. Had a market going on at the time so busy. List if near stores, restaurants and places to stop in. Got my hunter Santa at an old fashion soda, candy store of all places!

Cleaner than New Orleans with many shops and restaurants. Generally quite and fun to stroll along the sidewalk and pop into some shops for a peak.

I liked that there were so many bars and restaurants to choose from on Dauphin Street. Not being from Mobile it was easier to pick somewhere to go with there being so many around. it got kind of crowded on Thursday evening (college night) but it was fun.
