Overall, a very good deal. The start of they wasn't to promising, the guide started a bit late, and never did introduce himself. He spent quite a bit of time looking through binoculars for a bear while the group just sat and waited. But, he took us over a lot of trail (12.7 miles by my odometer), on a nice hike, and did a nice job explaining how the ATV's worked for those in the group who didn't know. Once we got started, it was worth the wait and the price. I went with my 64 year old mother, who had never been on an ATV, and she loved it. Guide kept it it a pace that everyone could do.

My Son and I scheduled a 3 hour ATV tour on the first day of our Alaska vacation. These guys set the bar very HIGH for the rest of our trip. Our guide, Bob, made the trip special and memorable. On several occasions Bob took pictures of us, made sure we spotted some wild life during the tour. We saw Black Bears, Mountain Goats, and lots of Salmon of course. We look forward to going back. Again, this is a must do, and I would request Bob.

Bob is an exceptional tour guide! This was my first time ATVing , and Bob helped me to feel comfortable, at ease and very patiently showed me how to operate an ATV. I was a little nervous at first but that nervousness quickly turned into excitement and adrenaline as I became comfortable driving an ATV and really enjoyed the trail. The trail was bumpy, rocky and a little scary at times, but nonetheless incredibly exciting and alot of fun! Because of the overabundance of rain that fell on the area, there were numerous mud puddles to splash through which I certainly took advantage of on the way back. Another aspect of the trip I really enjoyed is that we made a few stops to check out the scenery and look for bears. Bob was very knowledgable in looking for bears and he set up his telephoto lens on his tripod so everyone could get a good look at the bears. It was pretty amazing seeing grizzly bears and their cubs walking around on the mountain. To top this all off, we hiked to a gorgeous waterfall which I greatly enjoyed. I truly felt away from everything and loved being surrounded by the gorgeous surrondings of bird creek. I HIGHLY recommend going on this ATV Tour with AK ATV adventures! it is definetley one of the most fun adventures I have ever took part in. LOVED IT!!! Cant wait to go ATVing again!

Bob had a group with a mixed level of experience and he did great job. I am 59 and not a risk taker. I was on the back of my husband's atv and it was his first time. We had a blast. As did my 22 year old adventure seeking son and others in the group with much more experience. I loved the animal spotting and hike to the waterfall to break up the thrills.

Alaska ATV Adventures has the best prices and I had an awesome time! If you are unsure whether to go on ATV trip, GO. It is one of the most fun things I have ever done. It is totally worth the money. Water is provided- bring snacks if you like. We hiked to a nearby waterfall (beautiful!!), spotted bears, and our guide made videos of us driving through mud puddles. Oh yeah. If you are totally out of shape the hike might be a struggle, but for the average person it is not an issue.

Bob our tour guide was amazing!!! It was just awesome!! The trails were hard core, but so much fun. Lots of water to splash through!! We saw some really amazing views and Bob was determined to find us a bear, which he did. It was on a hill side but he made sure we could see it through his telephoto lens he set up on his tripod. We hiked to an amazing waterfall and river, which we did not expect but was a blast!! Would totally book another trip through Bob!! I really loved that he made sure we knew how to drive the ATV before we left and the speed was completely left up to us!! Can't wait to do it again!!

Trails were bumpy and slow and not much scenery while riding. Had to hike to see scenery at overlooks and at rivers. Hiked to river and saw salmon and waterfall. Left atv behind on trail while hiking with guide. Guide spent a lot of time trying to find bears on distant hillsides while we waited. He did find some bears which was cool. Too far off to get get quality pics. Overall was a fun day but was less about atv riding and more about scanning for wildlife and hiking to scenic locations, which was not expected.

We had 3 young adults (mid- twenties) & 1 older adult (mid-fifties) in our group and we also grouped with a couple newbies (father and teen daughter) and it was absolutely perfect for all ages, body types & experience levels! We did the 3hr Girdwood tour with Bob and it was fantastic! For us more daring, experienced riders, we were able to get a lot of speed and craziness in while the older folks and newbies could take it easier and more carefully. We didn't have to wait around on anyone and our guide didn't hold us back or give us a ton of restrictions or rules. Our guide, Bob, even stopped in key places to set up a scope and show us bears and mountain goats, and also to take tons of great photos.I was really worried we'd end up going 5 miles an hour and not being able to really 4 wheel and splash around. I was pleasantly surprised and more than pleased. We got soaked and muddy and got to play around a ton. We even got to hike down an easy hike to a beautiful waterfall.. so worth it!! Our local family will be going again and if we come back we definitely will!

My husband and I decided to go off the beaten path and book an atv ride on our Alaskan vacation....best decision ever! Our guides were wonderful as they led us around the mountain paths! We stopped at several clearings to view wildlife and even took a hike to a BEAUTIFUL waterfall! Overall a wonderful day! Highly recommended!

the guide was great (Bob). We found some bear and the ride was excellent. The machines were in good shape.

Had a blast ATVing in Alaska.Tough fun toys to ride on the trails. Our guide was very patient with us while we got use to driving the ATVs.One suggestion is to bring mosquito repellent. They won't bite you while riding. But once you start hiking, they will bite if you don't bring spray.Great fun way to see rural Alaska. You go way back in the woods and get to see waterfalls and hopefully see bears and salmon.

My friend and I went on the Bird Creek/Girdwood tour with Bob. He was FANTASTIC!! They paired us with two other people. He started us off by just learning the basics on how to ride the ATV. We did a few laps around the small circuit to get familiar with the controls. We told him we'd like to see a bear on this tour and he said that there had been quite a few bear sightings in the area, so he'd try to spot one for us. We went up and down a couple of hills which was a lot of fun! The road was bumpy, and we went through some water so I'd suggest wearing rubber boots or bring an extra pair of shoes/socks in case you get wet. I also wore rain pants which I was glad I did. He provided snacks but I had brought my own. We took a few minutes to eat before going on a hike to a waterfall. There were a few steep spots on the hiking trail.... it definitely got my cardio going. After the hike, we continued the ATV portion of the tour. Every once in a while, Bob would randomly stop, get up, and scout the surrounding area with his binoculars to try to find us a bear. We never ended up seeing one, but he definitely tried hard to find one! I'm convinced our tour lasted longer than it was supposed to... which I'm glad because it was a lot of fun!! Bob was an amazing tour guide! He would stop on occasion for us to take pictures at scenic spots. He would even take pictures for us so we could both be in the shot! I'd like to mention that we booked the tour the night before at 10pm. We were supposed to go on a rafting tour which got cancelled. Thank you for accommodating us on such short notice!! I would do this tour again with Bob next time I go to Alaska.

I have had the pleasure of experiencing the Alaska ATV Adventure tours both at Eklutna Lake and out in Bird Creek. Both were very fun but the Bird Creek trip was by far the MOST exciting and fun excursion I have done in quite some time.

We had a great time doing their polar bear watching tour. We flew up to Barter Island on the arctic ocean. We saw over twenty polar bears of all different sizes, some of them very close. Polar bears were everywhere because the natives had pulled in a bowhead whale. It was really incredible. Tim was our guide and he was very knowledgeable and helpful. Once we were there he basically took us wherever we wanted any time of day. He even woke up late at night to check if there were northern lights for us. I'd recommend this tour to anyone looking for an adventurous trip.

My husband and I and our two young adult sons went on the Bird Creek ride last month with our awesome guide, Bob. We had a ball! Bob worked hard to glass a bear for us. And we did see a black bear on the mountain across the river. And he had just the right equipment to get a great view. An extra and unexpected bonus were the fantastic pics he took of us all along the way. He's a great photographer, and really knows how to set up nice shots. Loved seeing the salmon swimming up Bird Creek. Thanks Bob, for going above and beyond to give us a great experience!
