Whether you are a hard core trout bum looking for the fish of a lifetime, or a family group looking for an excellent day on the water, you will not go wrong with Alaska's Angling Addiction. They are outstanding fishing guides and great people! Highly recommended.

I went fishing with Lee back in September and had an incredible trip. We fished all around the peninsula but spent a lot of time hunting big trout on the Kenai. Lee was a lot of fun to fish with, and not just because we caught a ton of fish. I learned a lot, had a few laughs and really enjoyed the fishing. I caught some of the biggest fish of my life. By the end of the trip, 22 inch rainbows were something to quickly release and get back to fishing- it was that incredible. Lee was patient throughout the process as I got schooled by many fish (mostly steelhead when we fished elsewhere)- he was always positive and kept me in the game. To top it all off, Lee is an amazing photographer. I got some shots I'll keep with me forever. All told it was the best guided experience I've had and I fish a lot! I would highly recommend fishing with Lee- it's the best way to experience the phenomenal Kenai Peninsula and Kenai River.

Alaska angling adiction gave me my first lesson on the fly rod 6 years ago, later the spey and center pin. Ive used this outfit personally for trophy trout, steelhead, dollies and multiple species of salmon. When friends and family visit Alaska they are first on the itenerary. From little cousins, aunt's, grandparents and friends they can handle it all. They know the river, the culture and the sciencemaking them true masters of their craft. Alaska Angling Addiction brings it all together for an unforgettable adventure on the most beautiful river in Alaska.

A friend and I spent a week on the Kenai in August 2013. Our primary fishing was supposed to have been for sockeyes and silvers, which we managed to find and catch on our own. Part of our trip included a one day driftboat fishing on the Kenai with Alaska's Angling Addiction. If I could have changed anything about our trip (which was great) it would have been to have added another day fishing with them! Lee was a lot of fun to fish with, we caught loads of rainbow trout and dolly varden, which we had decided to pursue instead of salmon. What a great move that was! Lee was a blast to fish with and not only did we catch great numbers, including some in the mid to upper 20" range, we also learned some great new techniques and take in the beauty of that area. I have fished with many guides for multiple species all over the US but fishing with Lee felt just like I was fishing with a longtime friend. A friend who just happened to know the water and fish very well. If you are planning on using a guide to fish the Kenai don't look any further than Alaska's Angling Addiction!

We spent a week fishing with Lee from Alaska's Angling Addiction. There are many options on the Kenai Peninsula but we had a referral to use the team at the Addiction. We could not have had a better week fishing. Got into multiple species and very big trout. Lee was extremely helpful throughout the week. Wherever we wanted to fish and whatever time we requested he was accommodating. We are experienced with a fly rod but can always learn more. With Lee we learned a lot more but it was not overbearing. He would teach us along the way but understood some habits take time to adjust. He also taught us some fundamentals for spey casting and the centerpin...both new areas for me. One of the days we had another guest join us who never held a fly rod. He caught at least 15 fish and some measured as big as 25"...not too bad for a first day. You need the right guide whether you are expert or novice and these guys cover a wide range of experience levels. We were put on some big fish. I landed a 29" and 31" rainbow (both measured) in the same day. The other guests at our lodge were showing off pictures of their prized catches and they paled in comparison to the fish we were catching. I kept my pictures to myself that night :). We wanted to do a couple days of steelhead fishing as well and Lee was very helpful. He knew the local rivers and creeks and showed us how to fish them. We had locals walk by saying how they had been skunked that day and we already landed 4 steelhead between me and my buddy.I highly recommend this outfit. They are exactly what I would want and expect from a guide service. I will absolutely be back!To top it off Lee is a professional photographer and we left with a bunch of great pictures of the fish we caught that week.Jeff

I've gone fishing with AK Angling Addiction guides for the past 5 years. We've fished several rivers together, but primarily focused on the upper and middle Kenai. The fact that we've probably taken 10 trips together speaks to their professionalism and service. This past summer during our Alaska summer vacation I booked a day with Paul for my wife and children. I was a little hesitant because while I knew how fantastic Paul is with a group of guys that are focused on catching fish no matter what the conditions, I wasn't quite sure about mixing fishing guides with young children. He exceeded on all levels, absolutely proving how versatile he is and confirming that he is an absolute professional. (An example: My son caught a big, beautiful rainbow and Paul noticed it had some parasites in it's gills. He put it on the measuring board to keep it in the water while he showed the kids the parasites, explained what they do to the fish, and removed them from the fish's gills so she would be healthy. He completely engaged the kids with a science and ecology lesson on the river.) The fishing was fantastic, but Paul's obvious excitement watching the kids and my wife catch fish made the trip all the better for me. If you are going to AK and wanting to fish the Kenai I'd give them a call. You will get an absolutely wonderful guide who is capable of everything from hard-core, experienced fly fishermen to a family with small children having their first real Alaska trout fishing experience.
