I am inspired every time I walk into Ptarmigan Arts. There is always something new to look at. I appreciate that is a place for local artists, run by local artists (a true co-op). I never leave empty handed, which means the items are unique and the prices are fair. The gallery is staffed by the artists themselves and I like getting to sometimes meet that person who created something I admired. This is a not-to-miss place when visiting Homer, whether it is your first trip there or your thirtieth.

An artist run co-op that has wonderful art work at reasonable prices. Jewelry, pottery, hand turned wooden bowls and vases, woven scarves, paintings and prints for your perusal. The actual artists work there and you can even watch them make their artwork. I found and purchased beautiful jewelry and a wonderful print of otters for family members. Well worth opening the door and going inside.i

Lots of local artisans all in one place. I bought a bunch of handcrafted woodwork and souvenirs, best shopping of our trip. Check it out (and the store next door too)!

This is the second time I have visited Ptarmigan Arts in Homer. It presents excellent variety of art with helpful service. I found unique and reasonable gifts, as well as two paintings. I strongly recommend a visit.

It's an artist co-op so there is lots of variety in the shop from the types of art and price points. I went with a group and we all came out with something completely different that will be treasured keepsakes of our visit to Homer - unlike some of the shops on the Spit.

There were so many different kinds of arts from paintings to photos to wooden bowls and carved objects, fiber arts... huge selection and well done. The next door Fireweed Gallery makes a great combination to look for jewelry and other items. Definitely worth the visit.
