I have been coming to this state park since i can remember and still find new things on the trail. Great place to get out and enjoy nature and do a little grilling

Nothing to do here but look at a small civil war display and walk through the woods. Overall it's a nice clean park, but we usually just stop here as 'one last thing to do' before driving home from White Oak Lake

We stopped at Poison Springs on our Civil War 150th trip. We spent 30 minutes reading the markers, enjoying the cool weather, and the lack of crowd. There was a short nature trail and a great place for a picnic if you're here around lunch.

This is a small place that is historically significant. It is interesting especially for history buffs or those interested in folliage, trees, outdoorsy stuff. Takes 10 minutes to visit and enjoy. Just a short drive and looksy trip.
