with Doug, from Pangburn. wife set this up thorugh Lobo Landing over the phone about two weeks before our short vacation. we stayed up the river at another resort.our guide Doug was there with the boat and gear ready before we arrived. fishing started at 8am, we were there at 7:45am. we provided our fishing licenses and trout stamps ($110 for two adults for one year). Doug provided boat, motor, gas, rods, tackle, bait (artificial), and knowlegde. he was patient and friendly. i bet he'd be great with kids.we'd caught our limit within two hours in the boat. a half-day trip was four hours and we kept going for four hours, catch-and-release with the rest of the fish we caught. Doug cleaned our ten fish and packed them in plastic bags at the end of our trip.spinning reels were provided. luckily we brought casting rod and reel, as that's what my wife knows. she was happy and had a great time. Doug rigged the lures, re-tied our broken lines, netted and unhooked the fish, you name it.it was 25*F and very windy on the river. cold enough that our rod-tip eyelets froze over with ice. and yet we still caught our limit and had a great time.dress warm, and ask for Doug. $250 including a tip got the two of us four guided hours of fishing and ten cleaned fish in the freezer. was a great time and I (frugal cheapskate) found it worth every penny. would do it again in a heartbeat.
