What we liked most about it was the shopkeeper. She was very helpful and helped us track down exactly what we were looking for. We really liked her and she made is us feel very welcomed in the shop. If you've been to a small town vintage store before, you will not be too impressed by the inventory here. It's kind of your run of the mill type stuff. There was a corner that had locally made soaps and stuff like that that looked very nice. But again, we found exactly what we wanted and received excellent customer service.

Reminds me of when I was young and my parents took me on road trips and we could pull over and actually afford something. Local place with fair prices. Not like a lot of tourist traps you can find on the road. Def worth the quick stop.

If you like odd or curious items this is definitely a place worth a visit. Emma is very friendly and is happy to chat.

Always something new and interesting. Be sure to meet Emma. Mix of all kinds of things. Take the time to wander and look for a treasure.

Stopped here on a Sunday afternoon. Did not find anything this trip but was fun to look. A lot of interesting items. Emma was fun to talk to so we will be back.

Emma's is a fun place to explore for tourists and locals. It's so much fun to find memories of the past at reasonable prices. Any time I'm looking for something unique, I stop my Emma's. I highly recommend the visit.

Emma's is THE place to go......not just for the tourists, but it's the locals' place to go find that something special for themselves or a gift for someone. We check her out at least once a week to see what's new. Quirky, interesting and fun to see what treasure you may discover. Definitely n ot to be missed.

My first visit to Emma's will definitely not be my last. What fun to stroll through lots of different treasures from ages past and the present. I bought fossil sharks' teeth.

I go to Emma's place at least once a year and every single time I go, I leave with a big bag full of stuff. I really don't know how she does it but I discover something new every time. There's everything under the sun there too, from the most amusing kitsch to evoke a childhood memory to truly beautiful one-of-a-kind type items crafted by locals to add a touch of shabby country chic to your home. I love the handmade soaps, the 'twig' coat hangers, church pews, vintage door knobs and knockers (of the kind one would pay an arm and a leg for at upscale restoration places), the antique dolls, vintage Bulgarian ceramics, and on and on and on. The only difference is that, at Emma's, the prices reflect the down-to-earth and whimsical nature of a place which refuses to take itself all that seriously, i.e., the prices are ridiculously affordable considering some of these things are one-of-a-kind finds. You have to wade through the mundane -yet fun and funky stuff- in order to find the hidden gems and curious of course, but that's part of the fun and raison d'etre of this place. Again, the name says it all, it's a museum full of old and forgotten Americana and mementos from around the world that one would find in an old and well-traveled relative's attic where the surprises await at every corner. The whole place looks like Auntie Mame's country hideaway and the outdoor area of the store is a virtual treasure trove of secret garden, shabby chic-type things: old, weathered wooden benches, coat or broom racks, vintage farm tools turned into art objects of practical use, etc. You name it, she has it. Incidentally, I suspect those who claim not to be too impressed by this place, have obviously completely missed the point of the whole experience, and while some of the items may be whimsical junk to some, some of it are indeed real treasures. I personally feel transported to my childhood every time I go and the whole experience is made all the more enjoyable after a chat with Emma herself. She is a wonderful character. Remember, this isn't an upscale pottery barn or pretentious antique store. This is a down-to-earth, shabby chic curio emporium. Picture an Anthropologie-type store filled with objects a million times more authentic and a million times cheaper and you'll have Emma's. Not to be missed when in Jasper.

We stopped in while visiting Jasper and it is a very charming store. They were very friendly in the store. It was fun looking at all of the stuff, it brought back some childhood memories for me and my husband. I bought some homemade soap from the area and it is great!! If you are in town, it is worth a visit.

Emma's has a nicely displayed selection of antiques and other "junk". There is just about anything you could imagine laying around. Great place to stop in and look around and beat the summer heat while in Jasper. Her collection of succulents in front of the store definitely should be mentioned, and the kitsch of it all should keep you busy for a good half an hour, even if you don't buy anything!

I've visited this antique store before, but decided to try again while recently in Jasper. Unfortunately, I never find anything I like or have to have. I do a lot of antiquing and I've found that 1) there are shops that are full of junk and things that should just be trashed, 2)there are shops that are owned by folks who are always fill their stores with things that are no longer popular or relevant and then 3)there are those who have a plethora of all kinds of items to appeal to antique enthusiasts of all types. I felt like Emma's falls into the second category - filled with many items that people bought 20 years ago, but no longer do. I may or may not go back the next time I'm in Jasper; I just don't find this store that impressive.

An interesting building with rock in the construction. Inside, all kinds of items from yesteryear will tempt those looking for something to add to their collection. Memories are definitely brought back.

We loved Jasper. One of the friendliest and fun small towns we've ever been to. And if you are there, Emma's is a must stop. Emma herself is quite a character and we enjoyed talking to her. Her store certainly has its share of junk and the atmosphere of the place has a warm, relaxing and comforting feel to it, sort of like being at Grandma's house out in the country. We had hoped to find some piece of junk to remind us of this incredibly pleasant town, but much of what we saw reminded us of the same kind of junk you're likely to find at a local yard sale. If you're looking for a piece of Jasper to take home with you, after you are done at Emma's, head across the street and down Spring Street a few shops to the Jasper Chamber of Commerce. They had a great selection of locally made crafts that were priced better than you might find on Etsy. They also had a large selection of cakes, cookies, coffee and these really nice green carry bags if you purchased items (we purchased hand made jewelry and hand made placemats at a terrific price).

You will find something you need here. Emma is a very good person so fun to visit with. We love her!
