My husband and I took our grandchildren to the Museum of Automobiles. They loved it, even though they are between 11 and 16. My husband and I got to see and show them automobiles from the year we were born, in high school, and even our first cars. It is a small museum but packed with lots of cars and other vehicles.

They have wonderfully preserved classic cars along with some other things as well. A great place to stop for a car enthusiast. They also hold cars shows there twice a year and they have tons of classic cars that are just fabulous at the shows.

Between 30 and 50 cars, etc. Admission was $9.00, but we enjoyed our visit. It had a small gift shop, and the museum is within a mile of the Mather Lodge at Petit Jean State Park.

This is a must see and do if you are in the area. Some great cars and motorcycles. This museum is well worth the price of admission. If you love classic and antique cars you will love this trip down memory lane. They also host a huge car show on Father's Day weekend every year with a swap meet! Thousands of folks from all over come to this.

I came upon this museum along the way to the Cedar Falls in the Jean Petit State park. The entry fees are $10 /adult.This is fair and you get to see many classic cars and wonderful vintage ones....I am sure everyone who is an auto lover would not mind paying a visit.

I found this museum completely by accident. We were on our way to the Petite Jean State Park and me being a car buff had to stop and see this museum. I did not expect much due to its location in the middle of nowhere, but was very surprised. I have been to several auto museums around the world and this is one of the nicest displays I have ever seen. Since I live reasonably close to this place I plan to go back quite often. This is a must see if you are a car nut or just in the area!

There are some neat old cars here. The inside is not real big, there are few rows of cars, and some motorcycles. It was difficult to keep my son entertained. He wanted to look at the toy cars in the gift shop more than the real ones, but I guess that's what kids do! I would say it's worth taking a look if you're into that kind of thing. If looking at classic and vintage cars isn't your thing, maybe go on a nice hike instead. :-)

same old stuff every year, to many regulations , really good to take small bored kids that are easy to impress, mostly about money, mostly dealers, drunks , an over inflated prices , you can buy cheaper anywhere else in the world

We stumbled onto this nice little spot in-between hikes at the Petit Jean State park. Good place to get out of the heat---the cars are really neat. Reasonability price Staff were very friendly an helpful and allowed us to take our puppy in with us if we held him the entire time ---which we did.

We were aged 57 to 4 and all enjoyed the museum. They do an excellent job of placing a lot of information on each vehicle to read and become informed of the car and even the owners. The player piano was a favorite of the kids and the gift shop had something for everyone. Loved supporting this and didn't mind paying an entrance fee. Never have been to anything quite like it before and I will go back.

I did this while visiting my parents in St. Louis because I got a Groupon to do it pretty cheaply. It's not somewhere I would have gone if I didn't have kids, but if you have a train obsessed two year old, it's wonderful. There are more trains than we could even look at during our visit. Kids can climb in and out of many of them and toot some horns. The best part was the mini train. Our tickets came with unlimited rides, which would have been worth going on its own.

The Museum of Automobiles is out of place on Petit Jean. This is absolutely one of the best car Museums I have ever been to. They have cars that you would expect and some you will see no place else. If you come to the mountain you need to be sure that you stop by the museum. In June they have a nation wide car show that is a must see. They have booths selling the same thing they you through out when you cleaned up the garage last time. It is a great place to just walk around and look.

A lovely collection of vintage motor cars in excellent condition. A very welcoming staff. The information on each car was great and there were just enough cars there so that you did not get overwhelmed

It was too warm to keep hiking on an early September afternoon so we decided to check out the Auto Museum. At first we thought it was closed because no one else was there. A few others did come in while we were there but it was not crowded at all. The condition of the old cars was amazing and it was interesting reading about them. We spent about an hour in the museum but real car buffs like my Dad would have spent much longer. It was nicely put together and easy to navigate. I would love to have one of those beautiful cars to drive today! For the time we spent there, I thought it was a little expensive at $10 per person. Actually, it was one of the most costly things we did on our two week trip to Arkansas which is incredibly affordable. In the same circumstances, I would probably do it again but if the weather was nicer, I would spend more time hiking on the trails in Jean Petit. You can't go wrong either way!
