Terrific Museum, a real gem in Arlington. The entire family will enjoy a visit. The Exhibits include models of the work done by Cyrus Dallin, a very famous sculptor.

I moved to Arlington, bought a home and got married. Before marriage day, I got a haircut from James McGough. I knew nothing about Cyrus Dallin, and James got me interested. All these years later, the museum, launched through the efforts of James and others, is a lovely spot to go if you want to learn about the premiere sculptor who lived in town from 1900 to 1944. see some of his work and that of others. Enjoy.

Stopped in by chance after walking by the place and got a semi-private tour of the museum by one of the founders of the place and learned a tremendous amount both about Cyrus Dallin and the surrounding area. Definitely worth the time.

This house-museum is in the center of town. Someone driving from Cambridge to Lexington and Concord might enjoy a short time there, followed by a cool frozen yoghurt across the street. The 77 and 79 buses stop nearby and the Minuteman Bicycle Trail passes in front of it. Not a whole-day outing but a pleasant way to spend an hour.

His name is not familiar to many people, but, his sculptures are all over Boston, Arlington and Salt Lake City. His "Appeal to the Great Spirit" in front of the Museum of Fine Art, is a classic example of his work. He is responsible for the North End's Paul Revere Statue. The Cyrus Dallin Art Museum in Arlington, MA is a gem of a museum. A must see! Cyrus lived and had his studio in Arlington. Support this growing museum....enjoy its works, learn about a local artist!!

Small museum but with magnificent sculptures by Cyrus Dallin. Visiting hours are limited so be sure to check ahead of time. Worth a visit if you're in the area. Don't miss the nearby Indian statue nearby across the street outside between the Library and Town Hall.

Cyrus Dallin lived an interesting life. He was born in Utah and then moved east. The museum is a small one but there is always a guide there to tell you the history of the artist and show you the various pieces of artwork. It is free to go through the museum, which makes it a great little place to go. It's located in a little park in Arlington that is shaded and has old railroad ties running though it - a great little space to hang out with kids. Don't forget to read the marker near the corner near Wood and Strings - it tells an amazing story.

This is a really small museum. Things are crowded together and there isn't much to see. The parking is quite limited on Mass. Ave. If you need a cane to walk, this could be a difficult place to go. There are two levels with steep stairs.

The Cyrus E. Dallin Art Museum offers a great tribute to the late Sculpture who captured the spirit of New England and the American west. Most visitors to Boston are familiar with Dallin's "Paul Revere" located in front of the North Church and his "Appeal to the Great Spirit" located in front of the MFA. With four galleries, the museum provides a comprehensive overview of the Sculpter's life and works. The museum is located at One Whittemore Park, in the Jefferson Cutter House at thecorner of Massachusetts Avenue and Mystic Street, in Arlington Center. It isopen Sunday through Monday from noon until four. Admission is free.
