This is a great small theater. You can always get great seats. Both the Main Stage and the Unicorn Theater have great performances.

Berkshire Theatre Festival has morphed into Group with the addition of the elegant Colonial Theatre, so the Group has now spread their talent to Stockbridge and Pittsfield.

The small venue we attended was intimate and allowed you to really become involved in the production. The players did an excellent job - must do while you are in the area.

This production was our choice for our opening activity in a cultural weekend in the Berkshires. The facility is versatile and comfortable. Our seats were perfect for viewing. The choice of this particular Coward piece leaves me questioning the appropriateness for this audience. A few departed at the first intermission, many departed at the second intermission... this was a shame because the audience enjoyment level increased from act to act and finally hit its stride in act 3. Berkshire audiences are reputed to be artistically versed and supportive maybe it just got a bit long for some to sit through???? We had an enjoyable evening!

Even though the play we saw--"Cedars"-- was not great the quality of productions is always top-notch. (and the seats are comfortable!)

Saw Noel Coward's Design for Living from 1st row. Superb acting, charming setting. With-in walking distance from Red Lion Inn; perfect for a meal or drink after the show.

Productions are all first rate, with wonderful, talented casts . Musicals have been moved to their Pittsfield location in the wonderful Colonial Theatre. This is a restored gem. We saw "Little night Music" and it was outstanding. Pricing is fair so you can't go wrong with any thing you see

Went to see previews of The Mystery of Irma Vep. The play is set in a "dark and stormy night" and the night we went to see the show provided its own "special effects" of thunder and heavy rain on the roof of the theater. It was a great effect that could not have been replicated without the cooperation of mother nature and only added to our already considerable enjoyment. This play involves two actors playing six roles, with many clever scene and wardrobe changes. The staff was as good as the cast. The seats were comfortable, with good sight-lines. Upon leaving, we were given a bag of Lindt Truffles. Purchased tickets online and will-call was flawless. These folks know what they are doing and I recommend you go and enjoy their talents. Only hiccup: parking can be a bear. Get there early and have a wine in the tent out back.

Marg Helenberger, from the TV CSI series, was the featured actor in The Other Place. The production deals with the hallucinations, paranoia, repetitions, and confusion of dementia as well as the rare lucid days. Although the role of Juliana was demanding and very well acted, the play was difficult to follow.

If the weather was better, could have walked from the Hotel to the venue. Parking was difficult for some who parked down hill and the rain caused them to get stuck in the mud.

Saw this play in the Unicorn Theater. A very intimate setting, and the play was top notch. The cast was excellent, and they created a nice mood for the production starting with the walk into the theatre and continuing through the intermissions.

Quality Summer Stock Theater. Theater provides small intimate venues, great sight lines and acoustics. Another great Berkshire cultural event.

This is the place to go to on vacation in the Berkshires. We always go to at least one play at The Berkshire Theater Festival each July.
