Fun and interactive for children. I think would be most enjoyed by 5-9 year olds. The building consist of several small rooms each with there own theme.Up stairs is an old court room that is also used as a event room. The museum floor is handicap accessible.

We traveled to the area for a graduation and needed to take our three year old out for an adventure. We were there in November and it was super cold outside. The Children's Museum was a welcome indoor playground for dad and child to build with Legos, make a butterfly in the craft room and play on different musical instruments.

Spent an hour and a half last Saturday staying out of the rain with our two tots. This place has been on our hit list since it opened. The themed rooms (music, lego, water, etc.) are a great idea. Our kid's enjoyed themselves and got to play with some creative things they don't have at home. They have a "healthy snack" vending machine with beverages in a small cafeteria like room in case you forget your own snack. Everything was neat and clean and I must have seent the staff drop in and out of the rooms to check up every 10-15 minutes or so. Only recommendation here is for the parents (and not the staff)...if your child uses something and they or you are able to put it away then please do! Our kid's (3 1/2 and 2 1/2) were taught that responsability a long time ago. It helps keep the place neat and teaches the kid's as well.

An open spaced children's museum with specific rooms for types of play. Children interact very positively here with just enough of a selection of items to explore. Good place to spend a couple of hours.

Rather than a large open area for child play, this museum is made up of theme rooms. The dinosaur pit, the Lego room, the water room, etc. are bright and airy with imaginative set-ups and lots to keep kids busy. Perhaps this arrangement keeps the noise level down which keeps parents happy also. The staff is friendly and brings order to the rooms on a very regular basis. Plenty of parking, reasonable admission prices and an overall pleasant experience.

This is a relatively new kids' museum in the area and they are still growing, but it's still a great and fun place to take your children or grandchildren. The little ones can have their run of the facility, which consists of several different rooms (dinosaur room, water room, lego room, music room, reading room, train room, and more) and there's also a separate room for birthday parties and such. The museum is clean and safe, and the staff are very friendly and helpful. Depending on the age of your kids/grandkids, you can probably stay as long as they (or you!) hold up. We've been several times with our own grandkids who were around 2 years old and, even that young, they had a very fun time. I'd guestimate the upper age recommendation to be somewhere around 10 or so, but I'll admit that we don't have any experience with kids in the upper age range. I just wish this museum was in existence when our own kids -- now in their 30's -- were growing up in this local area. The museum also offers several regular and one-time special events such as storybook reading by authors, kids' yoga, costumed kiddie character appearances, special theme days, and other things like that.My only negative is the cost. While they do have occasional half-price days, the regular charge of $8 per person for all ages (except under 1, which is free) can be a bit steep for a family with a few kids. But to get the best value, I highly recommend the various annual memberships the museum offers...we have a Grandparent Membership (includes 2 kids) which we love. When it runs out in a few months, we'll definitely be renewing! Some of the memberships also include reciprocal privileges at other kid museums. All in all, the Children's Museum of Greater Fall River is a great place for kids to learn, explore, and just have fun. I don't think you'll be disappointed if you check it out. And, if you're local or planning on being in the area more than once within a year, definitely buy a membership and support the place!!
