Really wide variety of botanicals. Smith College is pretty campus also to visit. So like to have this botanical garden nearby to visit.

The bulb show is on at Smith College Botanic Garden and it dazzles. There are thousands of tulips, hyacinth, daffodils, camellias and orchids adding color and the intoxicating scent of growing fragrant flowers to bleak winter. Ah what a joy to be surrounded by petals of all hues of blue, pink, purple, yellow . One does have to exit into the whilte snow, but there is renewed hope that spring will arrive even if late.Easy, free parking on campus. Donation box.

Remarkable collection of plants in a series of greenhouses on Smith's Campus. Yearly Tulip and Chrysanthemum Shows in Spring and Fall are amazing and worth a trip.

Went there to visit the flower show in the greenhouse and it was totally worth it, liked every part of it!

Spring Blub show is worth a drive to Northampton...just the smells and bells of the flowers make it an experience you'll remember, and want to come back again and again. Smith does a fine job of treating visitors to well planned gardens, and the greenhouse is really spectacular. Usually free but the Blub Show does have a small donation cost...

Smith College views the entire campus as part of the botanic garden. The greenhouses are well laid out and accessible with lots of explanatory information available. There is always something blooming and the smells are lovely. A must see during the bulb show in the spring and chrysanthemum show in the fall.

This place is not on the beaten track, but well worth finding. It's interesting, eduactional and beautiful. A nice respite from the busy shopping areas.

These gardens on the Smith campus are beautiful. If you enjoy botanic gardens take the time to walk through these.

Gorgeous plants, variety of eco-systems, well maintained. Fun with kids, just to wander and breathe, or to sit on a bench and admire the rain forest.

We searched high and low for the perfect (and affordable) wedding venue. Our search ended at the conference center and Capen Garden at Smith College. The garden was PERFECT with hidden entry for the bride and gorgeous aisle under flower-covered trellises. All of our guests commented on our perfect timing with every flower in full bloom. The reception at the conference center was casually elegant with cocktail hour on the deck overlooking the river with dinner upstairs. Dinner upstairs and dancing downstairs was unconventional but it worked out perfectly! Our caterer told us that the kitchen at Smith is his favorite to work out of so it seems everyone was thrilled with the evening!

A nice place for an artist to set up an easel. Smith does a nice job with art and botanical garden. Have been there on several occasions.

As a non-gardener, I was surprised how captivating I found these gardens. Expecting to spend a few minutes I was there for the best part of an hour.

A great place to wander around in to view a variety of tropical and local plants. I have taken my elderly Mom here on a weekday when there are less crowds. Parking can be a bit of a challenge if something is going on on campus.
