We stopped here to use the toilets and were pleasantly surprised at all they had to offer. Nice area to sit near the crab apple trees, walk your dog (if you have one), learn about the area, and of course use the composting toilets. Thanks for a nice break from the road!

We were surprised to find a little gift shop inside the travelers' center that had some very unusual items. They even had a penny-press which, of course, we used. The folks inside were nice and very helpful. There were some yummy-looking goodies inside, some made by local folks. I guess I was most surprised to find this in Central Massachusetts. I've seen similar visitor centers as far away as Arkansas, but I think this is the first one I've seen in Ma., so I hope they expand the concept to the rest of the state.

We went in for a break driving through the area and realized its NOT JUST A REST STOP inside is an amazing little gift shop with all kinds of local trinkets and cool little items. They also had a wall full of different attractions brochures which helped us find something to go and do for a little to get off the highway.

This quaint little hideout , hidden in disguise as a rest area off route 2 is full of charm. From the statuette of Johnny appleseed out front (yes I have a photo with it)...To the lil novelty coin souvenier machine inside the doors...The staff is pleasant helpful and always super friendly. If you are looking for Massachusetts souveniers or boston sports souveniers then this is the place, They have everything from local craftsman items to maple syrup candy to sports items....The ONLY thing I wish they had more of was more brochures to Massachusetts hotspots. They have some but not as many as i'd hoped!

Lots of good local area information. Most of the local towns are represented. People working there are very nice.

If you are in Central Ma going any place, then you need to stop here. Its more than just a rest area, its a visitor center, its a country store, and it has more information about the arean than you shake a stick at. Woth the stop if you are on Rt 2 heading west.
