We go here often. As residents of Princeton we can visit for free. They do charge a fee or you have to be Audubon members. Just a great place to relax and visit. They have sheep and different programs for families through out the year. Hiking trails vary from short to long and nature abounds here! We love to bring our grand kids!

A lovely place to hike. They have everything from beaver dams to a gold fish pond. We got married there! So it's a special place for us.

Wachusett Meadow has friendly, knowledgeable staff and great trails. We hiked here recently and spotted so many frogs in the pond a short distance behind the Visitor's Center. We love checking out the resident sheep and the bird watching is great. There is a small fee for non-members. Check the Mass Audubon website for great nature programs and events for folks of all ages.

I'm lucky enough to live about seven minutes from this place, but can recommend it to anybody who enjoys wildlife sanctuaries. There are wetlands, meadows, forest trails, and hiking trails. The staff is knowledgeable and enthusiastic, and there are lots of various programs throughout the year. A nice respite from the noise and chaos of life.

We hike here a lot! Highly recommend the Summit Trail. An easy to moderate hike with lovely views at the peak of the surrounding hills. There is also a nice trail down to Otter Pond - where we've seen beavers on occasion. Very nice place to visit for a family outing.

Though the Meadows has slipped a little it's still a great place to visit for some hikes in the country. Boardwalk is gone which is a loss. Large pond seems to be filling in. Large maple is no more. Still a lot to do and learn. HeyDay is a great time in October, nice to see it's been brought back. There is a fee for non-members of the Mass Audubon.

The beavers have gone and their damns are gone too. No more big pond. The water loving birds left too. Still, the trails are good, but the water was the attraction for the wildlife.

Can hike from here around to Wachusett Mountain. Has a really nice interpretive center. I grew up going to programming here and it helped me develop my love of nature.

My child goes to "preschool" there and we hike there quite often. It is an amazing place that runs with the help of a dedicated staff and many, many volunteers. I can not think of a place that I have gone to that people are so so knowledgeable about their field AND so happy to share that knowledge. All the programs and classes I have attended I have enjoyed and am glad to drive the half hour to get my kid there. I feel lucky to be that close to Wachusett.(Miss Chris and Miss Sara of the Nature school are just the TOPS!)

Have been on several occasions taking children to walk the boardwalk etc. Lately the facilities seem to need repair and more upkeep.
