My wife and I went there during the holidays with our children (and yes we are obviously a queer couple) and many of the employees flat out ignored my family but acknowledged the families behind us. Many of the older women were very cold towards us and it was no coincidence that they were very warm towards the other customers within the next second. I asked my wife if she noticed this behavior and she said that she did. I was not imagining things. We felt very unwelcome when we asked questions and I refuse to bring my family there again, so much for a good time for our children because even they noticed the off vibe. Happy Holidays? Yeah, right.

The store is huge. It really makes you happy and warm since it is all decked out in Christmas style. However, it is extremely busy around Christmas. The lines were crazy. But kids seem to love it there. You can make your own candle and there is a "snowing forest". They have every Yankee Candle smell you could imagine! They also have a lot of collectibles and other cool items. They also have a ton of ornaments!

The Santa had a flat affect, totally not engaging with the kids, did not even greet people as they arrived and sat to paint the horse. He just gave a few dour instructions, said don't use much paint and that was it! Mrs. Claus was just as bad. And this event was not even well attended! They were not busy, just seemed totally uninterested and did not even say hello or smile! If your child thought he might paint a horse with Santa - or even get a hello out of Santa or Mrs Claus - forget it!! Would not return for any such acitivities.

Don't take your kids! They'll want everything, but all the toys are a joke. The food is too expensive too.

My husband had always told me about this place and said the little stores in our Florida malls were nothing compared with this place. I never imagined a place this big with just about everything I could imagine for candle scents. Even though it was a few days before Christmas we were still able to navigate fairly easy. It was close to dinner time and we were headed to the night of Lights in Springfield. We decided to go back on our way back home after Christmas and hit a huge sale! This is a must do if we ever travel back through New England again!

After coming to the deerfield warehouse sale for girls day out for more years then I can count. I was sad to see this year that the offerings were less and the prices higher. In years past we were able to use the coupons sent out advertising the sale and school vacation Activities.. as well as dollar amount off coupons At the sale. This year we were told no. I must say this day long adventure for us girls is looking like our time and money maybe spent better somewhere else.. sorry yankee!

My three friends and I have been taking day trips to Yankee Candle Flagship Store for YEARS! We have so much fun walking from room to room, smelling new candle scents, looking at the interesting decorations, checking out the theme rooms, getting new ideas for cooking, sampling dips in the kitchen area, sampling fudge and gourmet popcorn (and buying too much of these items). We always look forward to our Yankee Candle days. If you've never been, just GO.

We drove nearly 2 hours from Albany to kill an afternoon before leaving to return home to Florida. The restaurant was fairly priced and good. The kids meal was "chicken for days' and the chowder was tasty. We liked the 3 animatronic old men playing instruments and telling bad jokes- no Teddy Ruxpin noises and quality of the figures was on par with Disney. A few adjustments to line up hands to instruments and they would have been perfect. The hot chocolate was rich and tasty. We enjoyed the fountains and themed rooms. Even our six year old did not once complain about the wanderings through the store. He loved the toy section and discovered a Santa a-la-Christmas story in a little workshop. My husband and I were waiting for the foot in our son's back though, after he told Santa he got a bow/arrow set and Santa replied he had shot his friend in the leg with his when he was 14. The hats and the boat were a lot of fun. Our son liked making candles and even the candles themselves, we enjoyed them-Mantown????? We left with smiles and were glad we had made the trip.

Took 4 pre-teens on a Sunday afternoon. The kids loved it. They made their own jar candles and dipped their own tapers which they really enjoyed. The store has a huge variety of candles as well as other unique merchandise. We got ice cream. I was less than impressed with the service level. My son wanted "bin" candy....but the register in the candy section was closed. So we had to go way over to the main checkout which was not only inconvenient, but even after I told her what I was doing (still shopping) she didn't apologize for the inconvenience and still proceeded to recite her "goodbye speech". It was also hard to find staff. The kids also loved the Christmas section and the fact that it snowed in the store every minutes. I also found a lot of deals /sales throughout the store.

What a surprise when we walked into this store! Toy section (moon dough, train table, books, etc) to play with while you shop. Santa was in his workshop, themed rooms to walk through, samples, ice cream, jewelry, ornaments, so much more! We made a custom candle using all sorts of fun scents. A real experience stopping at this store.

I have been to the Yankee Candle flagship store a few times and it has something for everyone. Great activities for kids and numerous themed areas for adults keep the visit interesting. Great to visit around the holidays of course!

My Husband and I Visited Yankee Candle On December 28 2014. We were there at 10.00 am when they opened. We Walked through the Store Checking out all The Displays and Beautiful Decorations. We were in front of the Irish Ornament Room and there was a Bench. I decided we should talk a picture together. When I sat down I got the Surprise of my Life. The Bench Was Full Of Splinters and I got several on the Back's of both of my Thighs. I Was Very Distressed by this being a Loyal Customer. I found someone and reported it. No Real Concern For me, Just get the Bench Out of There. I Believe When Something Goes Wrong Especially Maintenance on a Bench that 1000s of people walk through. I've called and Complained.I Was Told We Are not at Liberty to Offer You Anything. You must File A Complaint with the Corporate Office! SERIOUSLY I THOUGHT. GUESS THAT'S WHERE IM LEFT. IT JUST AMAZES ME THEY ARE AT FAULT AND DO NOTHING........
